Pykara River — Attraction in Tamil Nadu

This lake is about 20 km away from Ooty, on the road to Gudalur from Ooty. It is much bigger than the lake in Ooty town, and there are waterfalls a little away from the lake, known as the Pykara Falls. There is also a Forest Rest House and boat house with a restaurant from where one can hire row boats and speed boats as well. There is a parking lot near the boat house.

This place is very nice the scenery was very beautiful with clean river & both side green forest of tall pine trees wich was mostly planted one. It was not a perfect waterfall it was like a rapid kind of landform wich was looking good. This is one of the best tourist destination in Ooty with clean and green surrounding. Pure water of the river there is also one dam near that waterfall wich is pykara dam. There lot of animals living near to this waterfall in the forest.
