Lakaram Lake is situated in the heart of Khammam town at a distance of @ 4 km from Bus stand. Now a days due to the development of Mini tank bund and Cable Bridge it become one of the weekend spot for all family members. After Telangana formation Khammam then MLA Puvvada Ajay Kumar took initiative to develop Lakaram Lake and surrounding area under Mission Kakatiya and then this place become most popular destination of Khammam. Mission Kakatiya initiative focuses on the restoration and revitalization of lakes and tanks across the state to improve water resources and Ground water levels.

The Lake and Park combined offers a best tour option for Picnics, Family outings and Evening strolls. Throughout the year, people visit the lake to enjoy the charm of the water body. Specially on weekends crowd is too high and you will not get parking also.

Things to do at Lakaram Lake: Lakaram Park: There is nice Park with well-manicured lawns and Lush greenery that offers you a unique Experience. Boating: Lakaram Lake is famous for Boating. Specially arranged boats are available for boating. This boating will allowing you to explore the beauty of Lakaram lake water, Mini tank Bund and Cable Bridge. Boating starts in the evening from 5 to 8 pm. Charges are 40 INR per person for Motor Boat and 300 INR for Steam Boat for four persons. Cable Bridge: One of the most notable additions to lake is the suspension bridge, which is open to visitors since December 2024. The Bridge Spans 220 meter long and 1.5 meters in width, with two 80 foot tall towers which are supported anchoring the structure. Suspension foot bridge across the lake is constructed for visitors to enjoy the beauty of Lake. You can Enjoy by walking on this bridge in the lighting and Mild music specially during late evening.
