Almost the entire stretch of the tank bund from the entrance point to the boating point has been black-topped on a war-footing under the supervision of Khammam MLA Puvvada Ajay Kumar.

The tank bund witnessed a flurry of activity on Thursday as students from various educational institutions thronged the picturesque spot.

A cultural troupe filmed the enchanting surroundings of the Lakkaram tank and the bund around it as part of a promotional campaign for the ensuing 5K run to be organised on Sunday to mark the inauguration of the tank bund.

The 5K-run would be jointly conducted by the Telugu Association of North America (TANA), the Puvvda Foundation, and the Movie Artists’ Association (MAA), sources said.

My home town get its new attraction. The park was built around the lakaram lake which was once the main source of water for the entire khammam district. The lake has been artificially made and a path was constructed around it. There is an entrance fee for the park.

The view is amazing and the road is also very wide. People generally come for a walk here. The total road distance covering the park will be around 2.3 kms.

Very awesome and extraordinary place to be here . Very quiet and peaceful environment with good views all over .well maintained by the government and lots of development has been done to this place . Good arrangements for sitting for the general public , boating facilities with the cheapest price , small stores for quick shopping have been established for the people .
