This temple of Lord Narasimhar is located at Avaniyapuram, 20 Kms from Cheyyar.This temple is located on the Vandavasi-Arni Highway. This is also called as "Dakshina Ahobilam" . It is a small Hill temple with 2 tiers and about 250 to 300 steps to climb. The First Hill houses Lord Lakshmi Narasimhar, Alarmel Mangai Thayar and Pancha Narasimhar. .The second hill has Sannadhis for Lord Venkateswara, Sholingur Narasimhar, Varadaraja perumal and Ranganatha Perumal. There is a small Garuda temple inside and Lord Anjeneyar Sannidhi outside the temple in the First Tier. Lord Venkateswara is a Swayambhu Moorthy standing armed with Sri Chakra. There was a huge rock formation in the form of a lion face. The temple is believed to have been built during the Pallava regime. It is very good to see that all these temples are well maintained.
