Ullal Beach, nestled along the southwestern coastline of the Indian sub-continent, left an indelible mark on my recent visit. Situated just 10 kilometers south of Mangalore, Karnataka, this serene haven is a hidden gem that beckons travelers seeking tranquility and natural beauty.

The first thing that struck me upon arriving at Ullal Beach was the picturesque stretch of coconut trees lining the shore. It was like stepping into a postcard-worthy paradise. The swaying palms, coupled with the pristine sands, created a mesmerizing ambiance. As I strolled along the fishermen's lane, I couldn't help but marvel at the simplicity and authenticity of the coastal life.

A highlight of Ullal Beach is undoubtedly the ruined fort of Abbakka Devi, which carries a rich historical legacy dating back to the 16th century. Exploring the remnants of this fort was like taking a step back in time, and it added a unique layer of cultural significance to my visit.

What truly sets Ullal Beach apart is its serene and calming aura. The tranquil beauty of the sea shore, the soothing sound of the waves, and the gentle breeze rustling through the casuarinas groves created an atmosphere of pure relaxation. The long stretch of golden sands offered ample space for leisurely walks, while the cool breeze was a refreshing respite from the city's hustle and bustle.

I was also delighted to discover that Ullal Beach offers well-furnished cottages along the shoreline, providing a perfect holiday getaway. The opportunity to wake up to the sound of the waves and witness breathtaking sunsets over the casuarinas groves was a true delight.

In conclusion, Ullal Beach is a paradise for those seeking a serene escape from the ordinary. Its natural beauty, historical charm, and tranquil ambiance make it a must-visit destination. Whether you're a history enthusiast, a nature lover, or simply in need of a peaceful retreat, Ullal Beach has something to offer to every traveler. Ullal Beach in Mangalore captivated me with its serene beauty and tranquil atmosphere. The golden sands stretch along the coastline, inviting leisurely strolls and moments of contemplation. The rhythmic symphony of the waves provided a soothing soundtrack, creating a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle. The beach offers a blend of natural charm and local culture, with fishermen at work and vibrant fishing boats dotting the shoreline. The clear blue skies above complement the shimmering waters, making it an ideal spot for both solitude seekers and families alike. Ullal Beach is not just a destination; it's an experience that captures the essence of Mangalore's coastal beauty. Whether you seek relaxation, scenic views, or a taste of local life, this beach is a must-visit. My time there left me rejuvenated and appreciative of nature's wonders. 🌊🌅 However, it's essential to note a drawback encountered during the visit. The entrance to the beach lacked cleanliness, and the presence of garbage trucks emitted an unpleasant and unbearable odor. This detracted from the overall experience, highlighting the need for improved maintenance and waste management at the entrance.

Located South of Mangalore in Ullal. The beach is not as good as Pannambur and Tannirbhavi beaches. Maintenance of entrance is also not so good. Few eatery shops are there in the entrance. So much garbage has been dumped on the main road where you take deviation to Beach. Efforts were made to clean but not upto mark. Coming to Beach, the beauty of the beach is the black rocks which is protecting the bund from waves. Some natural and some artificial. There were few fishing boats on the beach with some lifeguards guarding people who are visiting beach. The beach seems to be little deep with harsh waves making it unsafe to swim. Just one can walk and enjoy at the start with waves. Overall different look but no much entertainment and basic amenities. Efforts can be made to make it look good with few basic amenities so that more people can visit, relax and enjoy the natural beauty of coastline...
