The Corbett Interpretation Center, located near the Dhikala (Dhangarhi) gate of Jim Corbett National Park, is an excellent prelude to your safari experience. Around 20–25 km from Ramnagar, the drive to the center itself is scenic, passing through lush forests and the foothills of the Himalayas, setting the mood for what’s to come.

Inside, the center offers a fascinating mix of history, conservation stories, and immersive exhibits that bring the park’s rich biodiversity to life. Detailed dioramas showcase the landscapes and wildlife of Corbett, while mounted specimens and informative panels narrate the park’s journey over the decades. The highlight for many visitors is the series of engaging shows—ranging from a simulated night forest experience with authentic wildlife sounds, to a 3D theater screening stunning documentaries, to exhibits that recreate the ambience of the monsoon through sound and light. These features make it more than just a museum—it’s a sensory experience.

The center is thoughtfully designed to educate visitors about the importance of conservation while keeping things interactive and engaging for all age groups. For families, nature lovers, and first-time visitors, it’s a great place to gain context before heading into the reserve.

If you’re visiting Corbett, I highly recommend making a stop here before your Dhikala safari. It not only enriches your understanding of the park but also builds anticipation for the real adventure that awaits...

If you are in Jim Corbett, a visit to the Corbett Interpretation Centre at the Dhikala Reserve entry gate is an absolute must! This museum provides a fantastic orientation about the forests and the region’s residents. As you enter, you are greeted by a bust of Jim Corbett near the ticket counter. Inside, you'll find what might be the best multi-media presentations on the flora and fauna of the Jim Corbett forests. The exhibits include models, stuffed animals, preserved remains, movie shows, and more, making it captivating for both young and old. The recordings of the various animal sounds in the forest are especially fascinating. One standout exhibit offers a curated experience of nightlife inside the forest, recreating how a tiger makes a kill. The tiger and elephant taxidermy models are incredibly lifelike and gave me goosebumps. The museum also delves into the life of Jim Corbett, the hunter turned naturalist. Spread out and well-illuminated, this museum is truly a hidden gem of Jim Corbett....

I had a highly delightful experience to be here. This museum in houses preserved bodies of wild animals especially tigers. Every exibit displays a short story about the animal. Jungle life displayed through light shows and 3d effects are mesmerizing. A lesser explored place- Jim Corbett in uttarakhand is a must visit for wild life lovers and...
