I recently visited this charming zoo with my family, and it turned out to be a morning well spent in the midst of nature's wonders. The Aviary section is a bird lover's paradise, showcasing a vibrant array of feathered species. Walking through this section, we marveled at the vivid plumage and melodious chirps, making it a captivating experience for both adults and children. The Herbivore section features a variety of herbivorous animals, from graceful deer to majestic antelopes. The spacious enclosures provide a comfortable habitat for these animals, allowing visitors to observe them in a natural setting. Educational displays provide valuable information about the different species, making it an enriching experience for families. The Carnivore section is a thrilling highlight, featuring big cats like lions and tigers. The well-designed enclosures ensure the safety of both visitors and the animals, allowing for an up-close encounter with these magnificent creatures. The entry fee is Rs. 20 per person, and you will take around three hours or so to complete the entire visit to the Malsi deer park. The park is open from 10 am to 5 pm on all days of the week except Mondays. Located in the picturesque surroundings of Dehradun, Malsi Deer Park is a popular tourist attraction that offers a unique and enjoyable experience for visitors of all ages. As a nature lover and a fan of zoos, I was excited to visit Malsi Deer Park and explore its offerings. **Ambiance:** The moment we entered the park, I was struck by its serene and peaceful ambiance. The lush green surroundings and the chirping of birds created a soothing atmosphere that immediately set the tone for a lovely day out. The park is spread over a large area, with plenty of space to roam around and enjoy the scenic views. **Animal Encounters:** The main attraction of Malsi Deer Park is, of course, its animals! The park is home to a variety of species, including snakes 🐍 such as cobra, deer, rhinoceros 🦏 , monkeys 🐒,rabbits 🐰, ostrich,and birds 🐦. We were thrilled to see the majestic barking deer and the playful monkeys roaming freely in their enclosures. The animal enclosures are well-maintained and spacious, providing ample space for the animals to move around and thrive. **Facilities:** The park offers a range of facilities that make it an ideal destination for families with kids. There are play areas, picnic spots, and food stalls serving a variety of snacks and drinks. We enjoyed the outdoor picnic area with its beautiful views of the surrounding hills. **What Could Improve:** While Malsi Deer Park is a great destination, there are a few areas that could be improved. The signage could be more prominent and clear, as we got lost for a bit while trying to locate some of the animal enclosures. Additionally, some of the enclosures could be expanded to provide more space for the animals. **Overall Experience:** Overall, our visit to Malsi Deer Park was an enjoyable experience. The park offers a unique opportunity to connect with nature and observe animals in their natural habitats. With some minor improvements, it has the potential to become an even better destination for tourists. **Recommendation:** If you're looking for a relaxing day out with your family or friends in Dehradun, Malsi Deer Park is definitely worth visiting. Just be prepared for some uneven terrain and limited shade in some areas. Will I return? Yes!

1. A must visit spot for families with children, though the waiting at parking entry and Ticket counter lines are tough during summers. A good ,spacious entry on Dehradun-Mussourie Road. 2. Tickets: Ticket for parking is Rs 30, Entry ticlet for Adults is Rs 30 and Rs 10 is for children. For the Aquarium, you need an additional ticket of Rs 30 for adults and Rs 20 for children. 3. Aquarium: A good aquarium with around 25-odd kind of fishes is a treat to watch for kids. They can add the Hindi or regional names of some fishes for knowledge sake too. 4. SNAKE HUT: Snake hut is great with more than 20 odd varieties of snakes, including 4-5 species of Pythons, Vipers, Cobras, Vine snakes and few others. The area is small but well maintained and not too crowded. Next to each counter is a very informative display board which is quite educative. Besides snakes, they had some tiny crocodile offsprings too in on of the counters. A must visit for everyone. 5. Birds & Animals display: A good Number of birds including Ostrich, Emu, Turkey, Parakeets and Lovebirds can be seen, happily chirping around. You can also see Ghariyal and Crocodiles in their respective enclosures and can also compare each of them. They also have a leopard, though its enclosure is in bad shape as the Zoo is in need of funds. Sambhars and Deers too can be seen. 6. There is a cactus Rock Garden with 30-35 species of cactus too. 7. Certain points to remember: A. Mask is compulsory for entry. B. No plastic/disposable water bottles, edibles etc are allowed inside. Carry water flask instead, there are water coolers inside. C. You can adopt some animals by paying a nominal amount to Zoo management to take care of the animals and contribute to their healthcare, breeding and maintenance. 8. An overall must visit spot for everyone coming to Dehrafun. It is not only a treat for children but for adults alike.

Best place for kids and adults Malsi Deer Park is now renamed as Dehradun Zoo. Malsi Deer Park is a major wildlife lovers attraction after Rajaji National Park in Dehradun. Located at 10 km from Dehradun at Mussoorie Road, this mini Zoological park or garden is now developed as a famous family outing/picnic spot in Dehradun and flushed with visitors during weekends. One can also take a click of deer easily if trained. Apart from majestic Deer population, the park has two-horned deer and Neelgai (Indian Antelope) as well. Visitors also can sight wide variety of birds in their natural environment in the park. Malsi Deer Park also has peacock and rabbits protected in the cages and one can feed them as well. Park authorities also installed several slides for the children as well. Kids can enjoy playing and learning about animals at the same time at this park. A resourceful canteen in the park serves eatables. Entry is paid and park is closed on Mondays. Park Timings: 10:00 am - 5:00 pm

Nothing in this world is cuter than baby animals. There activities and same experience we got while in zoo. Although I don't favour animals 🐵🐔🐶🐷 zoo and I am personally against any type of animal cruelty but in current scenario where forest were being left at nowhere the only place to see these animals are are reserved areas and Zu malsi Deer Park is one of the the zoo located in city of Dehradun initially it's limited to conservation of deers but with the time goes on new name comes as a Dehradun zoo or malsi Deer Park ,you can watch a variety of animals over there Some of them are Indian species .wild snakes some of birds are of Indian origin as well as other of distinct origin from other continents as well as countries one thing I like about this place is that ppl there will take care of animals and birds very well special charitable donation program is ongoing as per one can adopt any creature for a year .in terms of security and cleanliness it's a wonderful place special attractions include Bird section snake section character section as well as aquarium why should definitely visit this place there is a small kid play zone also they offer 3D movie but nowadays closed due to covid protocols so visit this place and enjoy

The Dehradun Zoo, previously known as The Dear Park is a beautiful place to visit with your family. The entrance is only 30 rps. For an adult. Extra 50 rps. For Aquarium and extra 10 rps. For Cactus Garden and the Snake World is included in entry(no extra money) that means a total of 90 rps. Per person. Free entry for children up to 12 years. For parking it's rps. 15 for two wheelers and rps. 30 from four wheelers. Plenty of parking. There are a variety of birds, snakes and fishes. Swings and slides for children. A fun place for children and parents. Couples can also enjoy the beauty of animals and birds while appreciating nature. A toilet facility is also available. You cannot bring any kind of food inside the Zoo. There is a canteen outside the Zoo with a variety of food. For details check the photos and videos shared below. Must visit for your own experience. I went with my friends and really enjoyed it. Four stars from my side, 1 less because there is space for improvement. For weekends there is a lot of crowd which I think they shouldn't allow after a particular amount of people, so that everybody can enjoy to their fullest.
