Visiting K Dev Bhoomi Wax Museum in Mussoorie was an unexpectedly enjoyable experience. Located near Company Garden, it’s a small but impressive museum that showcases lifelike wax statues of famous personalities from around the world. As soon as I walked in, I was struck by the quality and detail of the sculptures – they are so realistic that it felt like stepping into a room with actual celebrities and historical figures.

The museum features a diverse collection, with everyone from Bollywood and Hollywood stars to iconic leaders and sports figures. I spotted wax figures of people like Amitabh Bachchan, Michael Jackson, and even Mahatma Gandhi, each crafted with meticulous attention to detail. The artists have truly captured the expressions and presence of each personality, making it a fun experience to walk through and pose for photos.

The staff was friendly and encouraged us to take our time exploring. Though the museum is not very large, it offers a unique experience, especially for those interested in pop culture and history. Overall, K Dev Bhoomi Wax Museum was a memorable stop, adding an entertaining twist to my Mussoorie trip, and I’d recommend it for anyone...

Route from mall road for kempty falls, company garden and dalai hills is same The Company Garden is situated around 3.5km from Mussoorie Library near LBSNAA. And the museum is located inside company garden. The car parking fees is 100/- and the entry ticket is 50/- per person. It is a small well maintained garden where one can spend 1-2 hours. There is a water fountain, a water fall, a flower plants nursery and a Cactus garden. Lots of photo opportunities are there for couples and individuals. For kids there is a small toy train, small boating area, wax museum, kids games, snacks shops, gift shops and restaurants.

9-D VR is also there which costs you ₹200/- per person which I personally didnt like at all.

entry ticket for wax museum is ₹100/- per person which can be visited in hardly 15-20 minutes. You can also take picutres there with the statues 😅. Museum is just average if you have time then go for it otherwise it is not worth it. Attendant keeps following you everywhere due to which you get concious even looking the statues properly

Overall it is a small package having...

I’m not someone who’s deeply into wax museums or a big fan of wax art, but I still expected at least some of that “wait, is that real?” moment people often talk about. Unfortunately, it just never happened. I do appreciate the effort that went into setting up the space and creating the models, but the experience was underwhelming. At ₹100 per person, and with four of us visiting, it honestly felt like a bit of a waste. A lot of the figures didn’t look very realistic. They lacked the detail and finish you’d usually expect. Some of them looked quite fake, which really took away from the overall experience. There was also a strange emphasis on Western pop celebrities. While that’s not necessarily bad, I did expect to see more Indian figures, especially considering the location. A better balance would have made the visit more meaningful and memorable. All in all, it’s a decent attempt, but it just didn’t have the impact or excitement we were hoping for.

During my visit to the K Dev Bhoomi Wax Museum in Mussoorie's Company Garden, I found it to be a modest yet engaging attraction. The museum houses around 26 wax figures of notable personalities, including Mahatma Gandhi, Swami Vivekananda, and Michael Jackson. While some statues may not perfectly resemble their real-life counterparts, the effort to showcase such a diverse range of figures is commendable. The entry fee is ₹100 per person, which I found reasonable for the experience. The museum is open from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, making it a convenient stop during a day at the Company Garden. The staff were courteous and maintained the premises well. Spending about 30 minutes here was sufficient to appreciate the exhibits. Overall, it's a pleasant addition to the Mussoorie itinerary, especially for those interested in art and history.
