Kandoliya Thakur Mandir holds a very special place in the hearts of Pauri Garhwal locals. It is known as the temple of Goril Devta/ Golu Devta or gwel Devta. Every year in the month of June there is huge bhandara wherein people come from all over the places. The pujaris of this mandir are dungariyal negis. Nowadays there was no pujari there as we visited in July. If you want to visit the temple, be mindful of the monkeys and keep your prasad or fruits hidden from the sight as they will try to get it. Not recommended for after dark visit as it is located in forest area and there are leopard sighting at night in this area. The mandir is not accessible by wheel chair and there are steps.
