* I visited kempty fall due to its popularity in mussoorie and I can assure that it is true also. * Although visiting it is a costly affair but not visiting is a bad idea. * We reached kempty via cab in 1300 rupees and also have to take 150 rupees entry pass for adventure park #( precaution- one should avoid and visit directly the fall but cab drivers will influence you because they have some liasion with the adventure park owner). * After entering we had three options that we can swim, have boating and visit the fall or reverse the sequence and we did it in reverse order. * As soon as we reached at the spot we were lurely welcomed by changing room owners and other shopkeepers. #( precaution- try to borrow costume and other things from owners near the fall) * But we reached the spot by climbing down the stairs and actually the scene was amazing. Hundreds of people including ladies, children were enjoying the fall and having great time so we also decided to have a bath in the natural pool created by the fall. * After some negotiation we booked a locker for our belongings, swimming costume, towel and a tube in 400 rupees. ( But I would suggest that if someone is planning to visit kempty fall then he should carry with him a towel and extra underwear). * After enjoying we realised that without clicking photos of this scene it will be missing something so there was a facility in 100 rupees to have waterproof mobile cover but I decided that one of us gets out and take photos and then the other. * In this way we enjoyed the kempty fall.

Kempty Falls is about a 45 minute drive from the main Mall Road in Mussoorie. And if you are going here, you have to plan to take a dip in the water pool right beneath the Falls. I came here in the last week of October and the water was absolutely freezing 🥶❄️. But taking a plunge in ice cold water with water slamming into your back from a height of 50 feet is an experience that will be unforgettable. Expect crowds. I was there on a Monday morning and there were still quite a few people. So if you plan to come here during peak season, try to reach as early as possible, to beat the crowds. While the actual Falls are a lot of fun, the surrounding environs can be improved. The pool (in which the water splashes down), is surrounded by low-end cafes offering very little in terms of facilities. I came out dripping (and shivering 😅) but couldn not find a clean changing room. Preferred changing into dry clothes in the open itself. While this should not matter much to gents, ladies can find the lack of clean facilities a bit of a downer. You can access the Falls by walking down a steep staircase. Alternatively you can ride down in a cable car that costs rupees 250 per person. Summary: Get ready to get wet. Going all the way to this location and then staying away from the Falls does not make sense. The water will be ice cold. Especially in the winter. But this is an experience all by itself.
