The Kothaar By Cafe Garaage — Restaurant in Uttarakhand

Quite useless for solo travellers. It's a good thing that there are 2 nearby food outlets outside the Zostel Plus Mussorie otherwise if this was the only place to eat, it would have been a pathetic scene.

There is nothing on the menu for a single person to order. For each order one needs at least 2-3 people to share. No Individual meal plates, bowls nothing. (Learn from Zostel Plus Rishikesh menu how they have designed the menu suitable for every type of traveller)

Half the menu items are always out of stock.

Menu is also incomplete. There are food items which you can order which are not on the menu. Sad thing is, that you only get to know about those after seeing them on other guests' plates.

The food is super oily. If you are staying for a longer duration, god bless your digestive system. You simply can't eat everyday there. Have to checkout other places.

The order rules are totally random. From the same breakfast section of the menu, you can order some items for lunch and some items you cannot. That also changes from server to server. It all depends on the mood of the guy sitting behind the counter.

Seating is highly uncomfortable. Solid wooden stools, benches with no back support. Can't sit for a longer time.

Would strongly recommend the owner to re-evaluate and perhaps learn from other zostels how they have designed the menu. The property is beautiful, the location is amazing. It's just that the cafe is actually worse than the cafe of The Hosteller...

The Kothaar By Cafe Garaage is the only cafe you will find inside of the Mussorie Zostel. The cafe serves a wide variety of items at pocket-friendly prices. We tried the masala omelette, veg sandwich, chicken sandwich, and tea — everything was freshly prepared, flavorful, and served surprisingly fast. I have been there for 7 days, i would say that this cafe is the best place i found for chilling and eating. Ankit, who runs this cafe, he is very understanding and very promt to the requests. He has provided best food and best services for food in this cafe. He can help you out for anything you need from nearby.
