Tehri Lake Water Sports (Speed Boating) — Attraction in Uttarakhand

We visited Tehri Lake Water Sports on 9th June 2023 and had a mixed experience. The water level in the reservoir was quite low, which made us a bit anxious during the boat ride. Additionally, the main area for sports activities was relocated 1.5 km away from the usual spot during the summer season. This made it inconvenient for us to access the activities.

One downside was the condition of the roads within the Tehri Water Sports area. They were filled with potholes, posing a risk for vehicles with low ground clearance. It's important to be cautious to avoid any damage to your vehicle.

The high humidity in the summer was also a challenge. Even in the morning, the humidity levels were uncomfortable. We opted for a 30-minute boat ride, which was enjoyable but could have been more pleasant with better weather conditions.

There were various sports activities available, including speed boat rides, parasailing, and jet skiing. However, we found the prices to be quite steep. If you plan to try multiple activities with your family, be prepared to spend a significant amount of money.

In addition to the popular water sports, they also offer activities like paramotoring. However, we did not get a chance to experience those.

One disappointing aspect was the car parking facility, which came with a fee of around 50 rupees. Unfortunately, the parking area was not well-maintained and didn't provide a good value for the money charged.

Overall, Tehri Lake Water Sports offers a range of exciting activities, but the experience can be affected by factors like water level, road conditions, and high prices. It's worth considering these factors before...

This is an amazing place for those Daredevils who love water sports and draw adrenaline from adventure sports. This place has speed boating (1000 &/or 500 per person), jetskis (1000 &/or 500), parasailing- 2500/- per person (you're lifted from a speedboat), motor parasailing-3500/- per person (motor operator), water surfing, normal boating if you don't want speed boating there are shikara themed boats for exploring this gem as well. If you plan a trip to Tehri then make sure you reach here at least at 9:00am as the place gets crowded pretty soon pretty much. Plan a night stay at Kanatal and head towards Tehri the next morning for an adventurous day, there are many food stalls here but I plead you not to order Momos here please instead get yourself a nice fruit chat and please please please TRY THE SUGARCANE JUICE !!!!! It is DELICIOUS and REFRESHING 😋😋😋😋😋 We got ourselves 3 glasses each🤤🤤🤤🤤 Then head towards Kanatal again and now as the day slips into the evening go ahead and enjoy more adventurous sports like Zip lining, Cable cycling, Bungee jumping, Cliff Swing and so much more at Kanatal enjoy the amazing view and make happy and adventurous memories. It would be good if you get to explore these places in a group. You can visit these places in winter as well ..... Imagine yourself Zip lining in the valley covered with clouds or swinging through it 🤩🤩🤩🤩

There are Floating rooms (huts built on water), occupancy is 3 people in one suite and the charges are Rs. 15000/- (approx.) for one a night. You can stay here only if you have booked the rooms in advance...

Tehri Water Sports Review I recently visited Tehri Water Sports and had a thrilling experience! The activity area is easily accessible by vehicle, which was a big plus. To avoid crowds, I recommend going early in the morning.

Highlights: Variety of Water Sports: They offer a range of water activities, including banana rides, jet ski rides, and speed boats. Food Stalls: Conveniently located food stalls added to the overall experience. Speed Boat: The speed boat ride was exhilarating and a must-try!

Areas for Improvement: Motor Boat: Unfortunately, the motor boat ride didn't impress me. The speed boat was a better option. Parasailing: The parasailing experience was just okay, and it was over in 2 minutes. Maybe my expectations were high? Ticket Pricing for Kids: They charge full ticket prices for kids above 4 years, which might be a bit steep for some families.

Overall: Despite some minor drawbacks, I would still recommend Tehri Water Sports for its scenic location and variety of activities. With some improvements, it could be an even more enjoyable experience. If you're looking for adventure and fun,...
