Velankanni Beach — Attraction in undefined

The Velankanni beach situated in Uttan, Mira Bhayandar is a very beautiful and calm place to visit. You can reach this beach easily if you have a vehicle. Though if youre a first timer it would be a little long journey through Marve via manori , first reach marve and then ferry to manori side that will cost you around 30rs per head and 10 rs for vehicle extra......after reaching on the other side head towards manori dargah.....after reaching keep straight on the road you can also find the directions to velankanni beach on google maps ..though I would advise you to download offline maps as most network operators fail here. And if you forget you will most probably have to ask the local people for directions. At the entrance you are greeted with a big board above stating Velankanni Beach. After reaching We found a very beautiful and calm beach with less visitors .... .on the right side the beach is very rocky where you can sit, relax and have a nice tym..while on the left it has a sandy beach, where you could walk and relax on the the beach...swimming is not advised... Carry foods,snacks and water bottles for best experience. 😉 because we did not found a single vendor or hawker here on the beach most probably due to Covid I think. It's not much explored area. From Bhyandar station it's far inside. You have to take auto rickshaw to reach there directly or take a bus till unnat stop and then rickshaw to velnkani beach.It would nearly take 60-90 min to reach there.Make sure to get your food items before because there is no store near beach to buy anything. It's a good place to hang around as it's less crowded compared to other beaches. Beach is very clean. This beach is very calm. Beach is very well constructed, and has supportive people nearby. One word of advice is that don't go for swimming here because floor isn't steady. If you don't have idea about depth clearly avoid swimming here. Also for photography it's a great place. Lightning till 3-4 is most of the times harsh but after that it's good for shooting. And in evening it merely takes few minutes for sun to set. Hence it is really good to get your photographs before that. Villages near this area are also good for street photography. If travel time is your concern then don't go for it. A very peaceful and calm beach, not known or popular to everyone, thus, it makes it even better as there is scanty crowd. Weekdays are even more peaceful than weekdays. The road leading to this beach is very narrow, thus, if you travel in a 2 wheeler, it gives you a better access.

This area is completely inhibited by the fishermen's community and if you plan to also pick some fresh fish or dry fish on your way back, you will get an excellent deal.

Eating or snacks options are extremely limited, thus, it's a good idea if you carry your own stuff and a mat to sit on, especially if there are kids along.
