A spacious shrine of lord Shiva on the foothills of Biharinath hill adjoining Shivganga pond, a heritage big tree, standing since thousand years. The place is not so popular and not so loud, it's free from the clatter and pollution of the city – fills the mind with an indescribable joy, Greenness of the hills, twittering of innumerable birds, float the mind into a deep spiritual dimension. It's an old temple. People come here through places for marriage purposes. It's a very auspicious place for villagers.
But in spite of being a heavenly natural environment, the local admin seems to be apathetic regarding this place. Apart from Forest Guest house , ETC (Eco Tourism Center, WB Govt.) and few expensive private resorts, there are no such special initiatives found in tourism.
Even there is not a very restaurant present. One place, Ghosh da'r hotel is just beside the temple. They serve only vegetarian food. Also, provide food deliveries at night. There's alu posto is a signature item....

Stop to take some pictures. The temple is located on the hill and the surrounding is very peaceful. The temple premises is clean and has a holy atmosphere.
Food and other facilities around the temple: Must carry water. There is small sweet shop, can find puri and other food items. Good local taste.
Among all theses good, I have noticed how people are have used plastic and thermocol and ignorantly destroying the environment around. Though govt. has created a eco tourism spot here but the random use of non-biodegradable by visitors and shops arround is failing the purpose.
Request to all visitors: please bring back your waste with you.
Deserve 5 star but one less for being non environment friendly.
