প্রতিবছর ভারতের পশ্চিম বঙ্গের মেদিনীপুরের জোড়া মসজিদের এই মিলনমেলার জন্য অপেক্ষা করে থাকেন বাংলাদেশের বহু মানুষ .....

মেদিনীপুর শহরের মিয়াবাজারে জোড়া মসজিদে প্রতি বছর ৪ ফাল্গুন উরসের আয়োজন হয়।

মেদিনীপুরের উরস পরিচালনায় থাকেন বড় হুজুর পাক হযরত সৈয়দ শাহ রশিদ আলী আল কাদেরী আল হাসানী ওয়াল হুসাইনী আল বাগদাদী আল মেদিনীপুরী মাদ্দাজিল্লুহুল আলী।

উল্লেখ্য, বাংলাদেশ ও ভারত সরকার যৌথভাবে ১৯০২ সাল থেকে এই ওরস স্পেশাল ট্রেনটি চলাচলের ব্যবস্থা করে আসছে।

বাংলাদেশ থেকে আসা পুণ্যার্থীদের স্বাগত জানাতে মেদিনীপুর স্টেশনে পুরসভার পক্ষ থেকে খোলা হয় বিশেষ ক্যাম্প।ক্যাম্পে উপস্থিত থাকেন শহরের একাধিক কাউন্সিলর।

এই উরসের মাধ্যমে দুই বাংলার আত্মিক বন্ধনে মিলিত হয় মেদিনীপুর শহরের বাসিন্দারা।

শহরের বাসিন্দা রাজেশ হোসেন, শেখ সানিরাও। তাঁরা বলছেন, “উরস উৎসব যেন দুই বাংলাকে আরও একবার মিলিয়ে দেয়।” মেদিনীপুর পুরসভার উপ-পুরপ্রধান কথায়, ‘‘বাংলাদেশের প্রতি বরাবর এ দেশের আলাদা একটা টান রয়েছে। এই উৎসব যেন তারই যোগসূত্র। যেখানে দুই বাংলার মানুষ একত্রিত হন। শুভেচ্ছা...
