As its name implies there are twelve small Shiv temples at the bank of holy Ganges— just about thirty kilometres away from Kolkata. It was established way back in 1821 by Sri Harasundar Dutta and has immense mythological and historical importance. The place is very well maintained and gives you a feel of holiness! It is advisable to visit the place daytime for safety. You can reach there by auto from Serampore. Parking can be an issue for those who travel in private cars. Two-wheelers can be parked inside the premise. Till date, the entry is free of cost. It is the perfect destination for short trips. Personally I had a great time there. The serenity and quietness indulged me to play harmonica. My wife video recorded it. You can check that out in the video section. For past couple of months we have been traveling by the holy Ganges and have seen many tourist spots springing back to normalcy. Still many are there, having restricted entries, uncharted yet. Thanks to Google Map for providing us a convivial platform to share our experiences. Goodbye till next...
