From the moment I stepped in, I was surrounded by an explosion of colorsâroses, lilies, orchids, and countless other flowers in full bloom, each more breathtaking than the last.
Beyond the floral displays, the festival had so much to offer. Interactive events, cultural performances, and workshops added a dynamic touch, making the experience more immersive.    Read moreThis is the First time in about 18 yrs., of my stay in Coimbatore that I visited the TNAU Botanical Garden on the request of my relative who was more keener. I hold a great respect for TNAU for their wonderful work in the field of Agriculture. Being keen organic terrace gardening enthusiast with no gardening knowledge, though I have a small home garden myself, I was keen to acquire valuable tips on terrace gardening and wanted to see how home flowering, vegetable and fruit plants are grown there. But I was terribly disappointed with my experience. All I could see was decorative plants, trees for the road sides that are a common sight abroad, some medicinal plants etc. spread over several acres of land, with a few varities of Banana, Chikku(Sapota), Guava etc. TNAU has tremendous facilities like a full fledged Gow Shala for producing a variety of organic manures, Composting facilities etc. Though TNAU is great must place for farmers and agriculturists, for me personally The TNAU Botanical Garden was TERRIBLY TERRIBLY...
