The botanical garden’s Flower Festival was a mesmerizing experience, filled with vibrant blooms, artistic wonders, and lively events. From the moment I stepped in, I was surrounded by an explosion of colors—roses, lilies, orchids, and countless other flowers in full bloom, each more breathtaking than the last. Beyond the floral displays, the festival had so much to offer. Interactive events, cultural performances, and workshops added a dynamic touch, making the experience more immersive. The art expo was a delightful surprise, showcasing stunning botanical-themed paintings and sculptures that beautifully captured the essence of nature. Strolling through the stalls, I discovered unique handmade crafts, aromatic floral teas, and eco-friendly products, each telling a story of passion and craftsmanship. The entire atmosphere felt like a celebration of beauty, creativity, and sustainability. Every corner of the festival held a picture-perfect moment, from intricate floral arrangements to the joyous expressions of fellow visitors. It was more than just an event—it was a sensory journey, leaving me inspired and refreshed.

This is the First time in about 18 yrs., of my stay in Coimbatore that I visited the TNAU Botanical Garden on the request of my relative who was more keener. I hold a great respect for TNAU for their wonderful work in the field of Agriculture. Being keen organic terrace gardening enthusiast with no gardening knowledge, though I have a small home garden myself, I was keen to acquire valuable tips on terrace gardening and wanted to see how home flowering, vegetable and fruit plants are grown there. But I was terribly disappointed with my experience. All I could see was decorative plants, trees for the road sides that are a common sight abroad, some medicinal plants etc. spread over several acres of land, with a few varities of Banana, Chikku(Sapota), Guava etc. TNAU has tremendous facilities like a full fledged Gow Shala for producing a variety of organic manures, Composting facilities etc. Though TNAU is great must place for farmers and agriculturists, for me personally The TNAU Botanical Garden was TERRIBLY TERRIBLY DISAPPOINTING.

Good place to relax and spend some time inhaling some fresh air in the Garden premises. The entire area is having greenery and some areas are not well maintained and need some attention. Drinking water kiosks are kept at a couple of points. Entry fee is 50/-. There is a nursery beside the garden premises. The area is good for photography as it is having lush greenery and photogenic locations. We could see students from Agricultural University when we had gone. When we had gone there we could also see 'couples' having their time...What a more perfect way to relax under a shade of tree than any other part of the city???!!!😄😁 (July 2025)

A blissful and pleasant place. Tnau botanical garden is like a mini ooty botanical Garden with abundance of beautiful plants (trees, shrubs, herbs, aquatic plants). (Even though it still has some minor renovation works). It has all the garden components like Avenue, lawns, picnic spots, arches, pergolas, bower, topiary, trophy, hedges, edges, shrubbery, Arboretum, garden paths, road , walks, bridges, ponds, fountains, cascade, rock gardens, polyhouse, herbal garden, gazebos, statues, sunken garden, etc.., If you want to learn (know) about landscape gardening & it's components, then this is the best place, this garden also has a host of precious information about (names of) trees, shrubs (QR coded trees- you can scan it and know the info about trees, which is very useful for students). The garden also have display boards to guide visitors. This garden is lit by solar lights which is environment-friendly. The formal garden with straight paths with cut at right angles with lawns in between was awesome. There are different kinds of attractive flowering shrubs grown in shrubbery, (arranged in geometric designs) which also has many insect visitors. The maze garden is made of hedges, it was very interesting & innovative, great place to have fun finding correct routes. And the newly renovated children's park is a colorful place to enjoy & to have fun, with seesaw, swing, merry-go-round, slide, spring-rider. So visit & enjoy this beautiful historic 113 year old botanical garden with your family and friends & learn new things & refresh...
