The famous Sri Prathangira Devi temple is in Sholinganallur and is well connected by road. Very powerful temple n solve your problems. It has lot of Sannadhis like Ganapathy, Murugar, Iyappan, Sarabeswarar,Sulini Durga, Lakshmi, Snake Darbar, Kali, Neela Saraswathy, Pairavar , Narasimhar, Dhanvantri, Varahi, Sri Prathyangira Devi etc etc. Due to Corona they are not accepting any flowers n other puja materials purchased outside. They accept garlands( malai) etc from the temple only gorvthis tgey chsrges Rs.150 per garland Manjal Rs.50/-. Without wearing mask you will not be permitted to go inside. Security is waiting outside the temple with temperature ewuipment, with disinfect.mtls and gives it to all. Ny maintaining social distancing, you have to go throgh the sannadhis allowed only( not permitted to go all the sannadhis n u hv to go by the queue in tbe allowed path only. They "ll give the kumkum n show the place where they kept papers to pack it n take home. Very good temple to visit leisurely after Corona is lifted.

This is a beautiful temple complex where one can have darshan of several Devis and Devathas. The atmosphere is serene, and the temple itself is well-maintained. Inside, there are also a few shops, and the street leading to the temple is very colourful, lined with stalls selling a wide variety of earthen pots, toys, and traditional utensils – a treat for visitors who enjoy local crafts. One thing that could be improved is the temple wall design. The carvings of Devis on the walls are lovely, but unfortunately, pipelines and an adjacent building run across the same wall, which takes away from the sanctity and beauty of the carvings. Overall, the temple is definitely worth visiting for its spiritual ambience, divine darshan, and the lively shopping experience nearby. There is no parking space as there are many residential buildings around

I visited this temple after 9 years everything has changed here. There were no buildings near to temple now it is outrageous that temple is surrounded with flats and houses Temple is maintained well. Timing: 8 am - 12 pm and 4 pm - 8 pm on weekdays, Sunday from 8 am - 1 pm and 4 pm to 8.30 pm. I recommended visiting this temple for two reasons. 1. Black magic -The term Prati means reverse and Angiras means attacking. Thus, devi Pratyangira is the one who reverses any black magic attacks. 2- other powerful Gods in one place - who are also shrined in the renowned temple are Goddess varahi,  Goddess Neela Saraswathi, Lord sarabhesara,   Ganesha Lord muruga Panjamukha Anjaneya, Lord Agni Goddess kaalikaambal, Lord ayyapa , Saniswara, narasimha , Raghu, ketu, guruvayoorappan and shiva. Two wheeler & Car parking available .

One of the most revered and visited places, this temple dedicated to Sri Maha Prathyangara Devi is located at Sholinganallur. This temple is at a distance of 11 kms from Thiruvanmiyur bus stand and on the branch road (1 km) connecting ECR and OMR at the 10th km. Considered to be a very powerful God which is relied upon by devotees to ward off evils and black magic curses. This temple is similar to Ayyavadi temple, near Kumbakonam. In addition to the main deity of Prathyangara, the temple has Sannadhis of Sarabeswarar, Varahi Devi, Guruvayurappan, Indrakshi, Agni, Narasimha, Mahalakshmi, Annapoorani, Saneeswar, Ganesa, Subramanya, Gayathri, Shakthi, Neela Saraswathi, Suryanarayana. You can just visit the temple or do pooja and abhishekham to Prathyangara Devi and Varahi Devi on prior booking at the temple on phone or visit. (Caution: There is no web site of temple, remember, to accept donation or advance payments for pooja etc). For Abhishekham you can enter temple at 6 a.m. and for others entry timing is at 8 a.m. There is a big Kali idol standing with all weapons causing fear on enemies but showering blessings blessing on her devotees Your visit to the temple will certainly bring peace on family and there will not be fear on enemies and bad elements. You can sit in front of Devi and pray to get a feel of deep satisfaction and protection of Goddess. Sundays and Amavasya days are more crowded. Visit with family and get blessed. Parking space is available. Lot of shops are available on the road leading to the temple....

Temple runs business.. oil you can not take it from outside.. you have to buy from them.. for the number of people buying and pouring.. the lamp should overflow.. but cleverly ,managed to mint money.. madi manjal..another money minting concept.. keep 7 to 8 ,manjal in a bag..sell for 50 rs.. you are not allowed to either open or take it outside..because its a recylcing business..you have to submit it in the sannidhi.. they will recycle it next day again to the store.. if they sell approximately 100 bags a day on an average and 25 days a month 7.5 lakhs per month for expenses of 6000 rs.. great business minded temple.. but definitely good place to worship.. well maintained. serene atmosphere.. just dont buy anything from them...Manager,,staffs are rude, loud mouthed people...i am not sure whether the founder of this temple is aware of such behaviour of their staffs. Most of the time.. there is a temple owned car.. disturbing all the devotees.. and the car driver is a just like a bouncer in look and behaviour... they think they are superhumans and all others low creatures.. temple dieties should look after this ill behaviour of...

Sri Prathyangira Devi Temple is a powerful and spiritually charged temple dedicated to Goddess Prathyangira, who symbolizes protection, courage, and the destruction of negative energies. The atmosphere here is intense yet peaceful, making it a unique spiritual experience for devotees.

The temple is well maintained, and the sanctum housing the majestic deity of Goddess Prathyangira Devi radiates immense divine energy. Special homams and poojas, especially the Prathyangira Devi Homam, are performed with great devotion and are believed to remove obstacles, fears, and negative influences from one’s life.

Priests are knowledgeable and guide devotees sincerely, explaining the significance of rituals. The temple premises are clean, spacious, and organized, with facilities for devotees. During special occasions and amavasya days, the temple attracts large crowds, yet the arrangements remain systematic.
