Best place to go for a trip, educational place... with awesome greenery and there is a lots places to see here! When I went for a educational field trip from our school, we saw choco used for chocolate making And small parks here and there. And we brought plants and flowers at low cost. Awesome place for professional photography and eatting and relaxing Good place to twin with nature and with tall coconut tree, must go at least once in life time which will pull you to visit again!!

Government Horticulture Park. Entry fee Rs.20 per adult. Monthly pass Rs.150 per person both morning and evening 5AM to 9AM & 5PM to 9PM. Ideal place for walking, entertaining, children's games and park, Canteen is also available. Toilets are also there with water supply. The biggest park in CHENNAI. One round makes 1.2kms. So many Umbrella Huts, Lengthy cement Benches, in and around park circumfering beautiful green grass which fulfill our hearts with full happiness and feast to our eyes. Well maintained by the Government by engaging enough staff and security. Total area comprises of more than 25 acres with full lighting facilities, water showers, Fully equipped with CC TV cameras at all places, small parks with children playing Sea-Saws, Swings etc. For adults walking footpaths around the park as well as intermittently laid. Beautiful flowers, plants, trees, small ponds with water, beach huts models with sitting benches surrounded by small parapet walls are constructed. Above all, ample parking space with bitumen roads occupying so many four wheelers and two wheelers available inside the premises and outside the premises also. So many people visit the park daily from various parts of CHENNAI besides the daily regular walkers belonging to all age groups including sports persons also. Very safe place very vast area, no pollution, full of greeneries. The best place for entertaining...

The expectation of the Botanical Gardens and their maintenance is of utmost importance if you want the local community to cherish and visit it and experience the aura of the place.

Unfortunately, with most expectations, I noticed that the security person managing the place was selling the tickets to enter the site. I just realised that this place was out of disaster.

Nevertheless, the entrance seemed well-maintained to impress the crowd at the door with various types of flowers and plants, and most of them were captivating to your eyes and sense of joy.

As you move further up. You would notice couples shamelessly making out under the plants and covering under certain bushes, making it scary for the children. I also noticed a group of adults celebrating with liquor and no sense of decency.

The lake, or pond, was almost drying up, the garbage on the walk paths was cluttered, and there was no maintenance.

You have a spot for the kids to play, which is not maintained. Overall, it was pathetic even to call it a Botanical Garden; you have a bunch of guys staring at girls so that they can find some visibility.

I was not...

lReview of Madhavaram Botanical Garden Madhavaram Botanical Garden is a peaceful spot for nature lovers and morning walkers. Initially, the garden was well-maintained, with neatly trimmed plants, clean pathways, and a refreshing ambiance. However, in recent times, maintenance has declined. The exercise machines are faulty, but this seems to be due to ongoing metro construction work affecting the upkeep. One of the key attractions here is boating, which adds to the overall experience. Despite the maintenance issues, the garden remains a great place for a morning walk, offering fresh air and a relaxing atmosphere. There is also a kudil-style space dedicated to yoga, making it a serene spot for meditation and fitness enthusiasts. The children’s play area is well-equipped and enjoyable, making it a good spot for families with kids. Entry is reasonably priced at ₹40 for adults and ₹20 for children. For regular walkers, a monthly pass is available at ₹150 for first-time registration, requiring an Aadhaar card and two passport-size photos. Overall, Madhavaram Botanical Garden remains a decent choice for
