During our trip in Bali our driver's recommendation for a waterfall was this one. You pay a certain amount per person and you get a guide who stays with you for your safety. I think this is a good concept as otherwise some people would injure themselves due to wreckless behaviour. The place is clean, well maintained and nicely arranged. First you have to walk from the parking lot, over a bridge to an area where there is a lot of stairs.
In case you have problems with your knees or you have general problems with going up or down stairs, please do not visit this place. It will be a lot of stairs and not all steps are the same hight.
If you go to this place, best would be that you have already changed and you have one or two towels with you. Down there, where the waterfalls are, you have only a small hut where you can change your clothes. Also, leave your valuables either at the hotel or in your car, there are not lockers where you can store your valuables while you are diving or sliding.
The place is beautiful, it gives you the feeling of being in a remote place within a forest with some beautiful waterfalls. Bring definitely a waterproof camera since you will regret if you come and you can't take videos and photos. There are some waterfall sites where you can take beautiful instagram photos.
As far as I remember there is a place where you can slide down from approximately 7 to 8 meters, opposite to this slide you have a platform to jump from 5 meters. Further down you have a location with a slide of 2 meters and you can jump into the same "pool" from 2 meters. And the next one is the platform to jump from 10 meters.
Anyone who is bored or loves the thrill should visit this place. It is really fun.

I am giving this place a one-star review to warn future visitors about the deliberately misleading and aggressive sales tactic at the entrance. The Aling-Aling Waterfall access point is the start of three trails leading to four waterfalls.
Upon arrival, you are immediately presented with the costs for guided tours: Short - 125k IDR, Medium - 250k IDR, and Long - 500k IDR. The staff aggressively pushes these packages. The utility of the guide is primarily to supervise you for swimming, jumping, and using the natural water slide, activities which are not permitted without one.
While I do not contest paying for this specific service (even though the prices are high), the fundamental problem is that the staff at the counter do not even mention the option of an unguided visit. If I hadn't read previous reviews, I would have fallen into this trap and paid over six times the actual price.
The standard entrance ticket to simply visit and see the waterfalls without a guide costs only 20,000 IDR. The trails are very well-signposted, and you can easily manage without a guide if you just want to hike and enjoy the scenery.
This practice of hiding the cheapest and most basic option is deceptive and designed to trick tourists into paying for a more expensive service they may not need. It leaves a very bad taste and feels like a scam from the very beginning.
The waterfalls themselves are beautiful, but the management's dishonest approach overshadows the natural beauty. Be warned: you must explicitly ask for the "unguided" or "trekking only" ticket, which is only 20,000 IDR. Do not let them pressure you into a guided tour...
Read moreAling Aling waterfall is a must! We arrived at 9am and paid IDR500,000 at the booth close to parking and entrance. Originally, we were going to see Aling Aling waterfall (without a guide) then visit a few other waterfalls in the general area. My husband and I were SO happy to change our plans and purchased the medium package, with wonderful Kadek guiding us through the most beautiful forest. Kadek made our visit extra special - warm, friendly and engaging. Aling Aling was spectacular and we were lucky to spend some time, hypnotised by the falls, scenery and experience this holy location without anyone else. (Top tip - get there early! Beat the crowds and enjoy the absolute peace and quiet). We walked to the Blue Lagoon, spent an hour swimming, stunned by its beauty- wow, what a place. Again, lucky to have the lagoon to ourselves. Stunning! After another short walk, we then arrived at Kroya Falls, waterfalls, the BEST rockslide (50ft), pools, diving platforms at 5, 10 and 15mt. If silent awe was appropriate at the previous locations, Kroya had us cheering with excitement as we jumped, swam, whooped it up with the 50ft rockslide (Top tip - just do it! It’s a smooth but exhilarating ride) Again, we had the entire place to ourselves for 2hrs. Kadek, our guide was taking videos and photos on my phone while we played and had the time of our lives. Buoyancy vests are supplied (if required) Wear sneakers, swimwear under shorts/tee, take some snacks and enjoy one of the most beautiful locations North Bali has to offer. Aling Aling is not...
