Museum Soenda Ketjil — Attraction in Bali

A nice little museum capturing a brief history of the once important Spends Ketjil region. The displays are in Indonesian language but there are translations in English on cards. Interesting history about how the area was once the capital before they moved it...

This small museum is worth a visit. A quick historic overview of the old Buleleng Kingdom. The mother of Soekarno being Balinese from here, there is a special link with the Republic's founding father. Texts are in Indonesian but there are English translations everywhere. One of the person's in charge speaks good English too. I hope they find the means to enlarge it.

Ce petit musée vaut une petite visite. Il donne une rapide idée de l'histoire du vieil royaume de Buleleng. La mère de Soekarno étant balinaise, il y a bien entendu un lien spécial avec le père fondateur de la République. Les textes sont en Indonésien mais avec des traductions anglaises partout. Une des personnes a l'accueil parle aussi un bon Anglais . J'espère qu'ils trouvent les moyens...
