I believe there has been many improvements on this beach compared to the last time I came here.
Located just a short distance away from main road Prof. Ida Bagus Mantra, Pantai Lembeng is one of the easier accessible beaches, especially because they have improved the road a lot (see pictures). It used to be small, one-car, broken road, now it has been widened to fit two cars, and they are on the progress of asphalting it. Most probably, this will be done soon if you come here in a significant time period after my post. However, they didn't improve the steep gradient from the main road to this road.
This is a black volcanic sand beach, and there are quite a lot of garbage as for today. However, the same thing is applicable throughout Bali during this month and most probably a couple of months in the future, caused by monsoon that carries the rubbish from the sea. Hopefully that is the case and it will be cleaned up and maintained by beach goers as well, including the desperate need for rubbish bins.
There are many stray dogs here, but they are okay. If you don't like them, just tolerate them like a decent human beings or don't go out at all.
It's quite nice to have a morning walk, including a nice green patch, an interesting temple, although the pavement walkway is not well maintained and doesn't continue to the neighboring beaches. There are a big parking field for both motorcycles and cars. Currently it's free of charge.
Watch out for the split road so that you won't miss your turn, and there is quite a big sign for the beach.
Can be improved: cleanliness, public facilities, broken pavements, and connections to...

Arriving at the beach area there is on the right hand side a warung however was closed. On the left hand side a dilapidated structure with some motorbikes parked whose owners were surfing on the medium size waves.
Down parallel with the beach a temple which obviously is being used as several ladies came back from there having attended...
Read moreThis is a beach without crowd!!! What a nice break. This is a perfect place to pick up some free souvenirs from the land. We saw all kind of drift wood, sea shells, some bezzar looking seeds. I recognize some of the materials that local crafters use for their merchandise just laying around. If only I had my own shop in Bali..... MAN ;)...... I would go to this beach to pick up some of that staff and repurpose it as arsty useful nicknacks. It is a place to make peace with your self and discover an inner artist...
