I’m a raging petrolhead and was positive I’d find nothing from my favourite pastime whilst on a family holiday in Bali - how VERY wrong I was !!!
Whilst I’m first a fan of hotrods and muscle cars, I appreciate all things motoring history and the eclectic collection on display here is mind boggling, with almost every of the well over 200 gems being pre 1980s.
The owner has some other collecting habits he also has on display, like vintage radios, cigarette packets, 70s cassette tapes and the list goes on.
For a roughly $15 (Aussie) and 30ish minute GoJek fare, each way from Kuta, and $10 entry, I thoroughly got my value. If you are a true car nut, allow at least two hours to take it in (i.e. don’t take non car nerds with you, they will not be happy with how long you want to wander !!!).
Great small cafe on site and a souvenir shop, all good prices.
I say again, I cannot more highly recommend for those that like an auto injection whilst on holidays.
I even got one modified car hit - an EK Ute with a Lexus V8 transplant; I’ve been to a LOT of car shows, including every Summernats, and never seen one...
Read moreWhat an unforgettable experience! Mirah at Kebon Vintage Car Museum went above and beyond to make the day truly special. Not only was she incredibly knowledgeable about the cars and their history, but she brought everything to life with passion and detail that made our time at the museum so much more engaging and memorable.
The highlight was the extra effort she put in outside the museum – arranging an incredible photo shoot on the beach with a classic car, even filming from the back of a scooter to capture the perfect shots! It was such a unique touch and showed just how dedicated she is to creating an amazing experience for their guests.
This was so much more than just a museum visit – it was a one-of-a-kind adventure we’ll never forget. I can’t recommend Mirah and the team at Kebon Vintage Car Museum highly enough!
Definitely worth a visit next time you’re in Bali. Thanks again for an awesome day, Samuel, Edwina...
Read moreSurprisingly good. Worth a quick visit if you like cars - we spent 90mins there. Probably not worth more than 30mins journey unless you really like cars! The guide was overly chatting, for our taste, but did leave us to explore after about 10 mins. There is a cafe there with drinks at a not extortionate price. Not really setup for food. It would have been great to have a bit more information on signs but there are QR codes on a few vehicles with genuinely relevant info.
TIPS Pushchair friendly Buy tickets at the door, no need to buy in advance Easy to get a Grab taxi back to Sanur - lots of cars in the area No need to bring headphones for an audio tour but do bring a phone with a data connection to get the most out of the QR codes.
If you like cars then check out Tuksedo Studio a few mins drive away. It's appointment only...
