The waterfalls are gorgeous and certainly worth the price I ended up paying. As others have mentioned, there are numerous scammers before you reach the official parking lot(my driver tried to get me to pay them. He was a scumbag.) However, the official parking lot also will try to scam you. I am a solo traveler and chose to pay for a guide so I could get pictures. I do believe you could actually get away with not having a guide and just pay the entrance to the three waterfalls individually(there are entrance gates to each fall.) If you did this you would be harassed the entire time, so I believe it is worth paying so as to enjoy some peace. You would also probably not be allowed to park there. I paid 250K to see all three waterfalls. This included admission to each fall, which your guide pays at each entrance, after you have paid him. My guide only took one photo and said he was too cold and wanted to go back after the first 2 falls. He said the 3rd fall(Figi) was not worth the extra climb. I explained that I had paid for three falls and wanted to see them all. Figi ended up being the most spectacular of the falls. He was just trying to avoid the steep hike and the admission he had to pay for the...

Note: 1. This location is not where the waterfall is located. 2. The actual location is Sekumpul View Point. Use this Google Map location to get to the waterfall. You can park at the Sekumpul Restaurant about 200 meters from the ticket office. 3. This waterfall is absolutely beautiful and I encourage everyone to go see it. I almost did not go due to some negative reviews about the costs and scams. I only experienced polite local people. I paid 20k to enter the viewing area, which was spectacular. There were options to hire a guide and swim. This was all at the official ticket office. And the extra price, weather sanctioned by the government or not is so reasonable in my opinion. The walkways are maintained, I did not see any trash and the guides and shop owners are very friendly. Lastly, this location on Google Maps is NOT where the waterfall is located; however, It maybe a parking area, but a far walk...

The most beautiful waterfall in all of Bali! Lots of people complaining about the ticket price and the requirement to have a guide, but keep in mind that the way down is quite challenging. We found our guide to be very knowledgeable and helpful. He helped us carry our equipment and take some amazing photos too. Also, don't forget that the local community and economy around Sekumpul is highly dependant on the income from the waterfall as there are little to no other employment opportunities for them in the area, so when you do pay for these waterfall tickets around Bali you're also supporting the local people and are helping them to maintain these pathways for you to have a better overall...

Scam !! You pay for all here. 20k for 1 person allows you to only take picture at the entrance. 150k per person bring you to waterfall 1 and 2. And be ready for the ultra scam of 250k to access the 3 waterfalls. I visited 1 year ago, I paid 100k per person to have a guy drop me at parking close to the entrance with bike and then I could walk and enjoy my times to the 2 waterfalls. Local keep being greedy and lazy. Just want easy money and scam bule with no shame. Even being really rude when addressing to you. There are so soany waterfall in Bali, don't waste your time here. This one is the tallest, not the most beautiful 😉

If you go there by supir/driver, they would almost always stop where a person will charge you IDR300,000 per person to go see the falls. This is the local’s own doing, while this part of Bali’s tourism remained ungoverned. If you have a bike/scooter, it’ll be really helpful because you can bypass these scammers who charge you ungodly amounts of money for a ‘service’. Meanwhile, you would still have to use your own effort to get to where the waterfalls actually is. Rubbish behaviour by the locals. Unlawful strong arming, forced tourism. Waterfall is amazing, but that’s through no effort of the locals at all.
