THIS IS A SCAM! I REPEAT THIS IS A SCAM! The only thing that you will get to see for 30,000 rupiah is a stone wall. The "temple" if one can call it that is nothing more than one tiny building. If you want to visit this place so badly, please try to avoid the "local guide" at all costs. He scammed us out 150,000 rupiah because he belonged to a different "company" and most of the money would go to the local people. Whether you want to believe that or not is up to you... He told us it was expected of him to receive a donation worth 10 euros. Seeing how he said it was a donation, we offered 100,000 rupiah - thinking to be generous but he rapidly made it clear that that was not enough. While he appeared to be a kind man and it was made clear from the beginning that we were expected to give a "small" donation, to pay 12 euros or 180,000 rupiah for this.... "scenery" is extremely overpriced. I would only recommend this to those wishing to pay 180,000 for a small walk through the rice paddies, which once again can be done at a far cheaper price, and to see a stone wall that is anything but impressive. Also note that all the 5 star reviews are from local guides, the same people that will scam you out of your money. Do not make the same mistake as us and avoid this place at all costs if you can. While we understand that this is a way for the local people in the area to make easy money, the feeling of being scammed is never nice and especially on vacation, hence...

You pay 30,000 idr for the entrance fee , which I’m cool with .
There was an older man who took my money then a guy in a motorcycle with a white wrap around his head showed up and was told to go with me.
You pay 30,000 idr for the entrance fee , which I’m cool with .
‼️💢But What is not cool is that the guy from the motorcycle was “a guide “ which I did not request. He took me around the rice fields which he said he would take me the long way bc I was wearing athletic clothing. Explained some stuff I already knew. He then took me to see the carvings which are beautiful and at the end I gave him a tip because he asked for one , I gave him what I had and he did not like what I gave him! The guide said he normally got tipped 50,000 for the temple visit but since he took me on the “long route” he wanted ‼️‼️‼️100,00 IDR‼️‼️ He insisted, but I had no extra cash with me . So he took me back to my accommodation which was a 5 min ride to get his 100,000 !!!!!!!!! 💢‼️
Watch out for this ! I was totally scammed , first time in Bali !
‼️‼️stand your ground and Refuse a guide for this area , you can read about it on the internet ! ‼️‼️

Read moreBe very cautious of this place. We don’t feel as though we were scammed out of money but it was certainly professional persuasion for a required donation. This was made apparent after we had paid the entrance fee. On FOUR different occasions we had people demand we give money (parking, entrance fee, guide and temple donation). The scenery is however beautiful. We had a private guide take us around a route of 35 minutes. We paid 165k in total. We weren’t expecting to pay more than 30k however and it definitely left me feeling as though we had been tricked out of our money. The guide explained we should see this as a ‘kindness’ and from the ‘good of God’ and not as a requirement. I didn’t like that. Such a shame as the temple is very interesting and pretty. I would never recommend a friend to go there. It gave us a very bad lasting impression during the rest...
