Amazing food, amazing people, amazing setting!
What more could you ask for, this cafe is the perfect Indonesian Cafe for any time of the day, we went in the evening for dinner and it was perfect. All the staff are so lovely and helpful, we felt very chilled here, listening to the jungle watching the beautiful scenery.
The food was exactly what you could have hoped for in Bali, traditional Indonesian food, and for a very good price. From all the places we have tried in Ubud, by far this was the most authentic and delicious, away from the busy tourist parts.
If you manage to go in the morning or day time you will be treated to stunning scenery of the rice fields, ponds and jungle but at night the scenery is still just amazing with the cafe light up suitably. No traffic at all, as you have to walk only 40 metres (some steps too) from a dead end road. Highly recommend this...
Read moreWhat a hidden gem! A tranquil setting in this beautiful garden was the perfect backdrop for the best dinner of our trip. One of us was gluten free, so we showed a coeliac restaurant card we brought and they understood really well. It was very easy for them to show us what options could be made gluten free.
Everything we had was incredible. Super fresh juices from their own produce. Gorgeous teapot and cups with nice and strong ginger & lemongrass tea. We had mie goreng (not GF) and steamed Balinese infused flavoured rice with chicken sate sticks (adapted to be gluten free without fuss). Both were 10/10. Perfectly succulent juicy chicken in each, the rice was morish and very well balanced flavour in the mie goreng.
Dessert was just as good!
Can't recommend enough for you get out of busy Ubud and experience the amazing local Balinese cuisine at...
Read moreA gorgeous spot in rice fields. The food is a high standard here. They use real coconut oil and no MSG. I had the best vegetarian ever - Tempe manis was extraordinary. Kadek the owner is super friendly. Her vegetarian selection was way above the normal choices. Lovely family run vibe too. So peaceful here. Get away from Ubud and visit this sweet garden restaurant OFF THE TOURIST TRAIL. You are surrounded by rice Fields. The stone relief which is 50 metres long is well worth a visit. It's next door. Try the black rice pudding - it's fresh and so delicious. Highly recommended. Western toilet too and super clean. High standards. We visited kadeks grandma after - she is the last remaining potter in her village....
