Batam Zoo Paradise has made quite an impression on me during my recent visit. Nestled in the lush surroundings of Batam Island, this zoo is a delightful destination for families and animal lovers alike.
One of the first things that struck me was the cleanliness of the environment. The zoo takes great pride in maintaining a clean and hygienic atmosphere, with staff regularly seen tending to the grounds and animal habitats. The pathways are well-kept, making it easy to navigate with little ones in tow. The attentive maintenance not only enhances the overall experience but also reflects the zoo’s commitment to animal welfare—an essential aspect for any reputable institution.
The variety of animals on display is commendable, featuring a diverse range of species from local wildlife to exotic creatures. Each enclosure is designed to mimic the animals' natural habitats as closely as possible, allowing visitors to appreciate the animals in comfortable settings. It’s evident that the staff genuinely cares for the well-being of the animals, with informative signage that educates visitors about each species' habits and conservation status.
For families with children, Batam Zoo is particularly friendly. The zoo is designed with kids in mind, featuring spacious walking paths and interactive exhibits that engage children's curiosity about wildlife. There are plenty of areas for kids to explore and learn while also enjoying playful activities. The presence of well-maintained play areas is a bonus, allowing children to burn off some energy after strolling through the exhibits.
One of the highlights of my visit was the animal feeding sessions, where children (and adults) could actively participate in feeding some of the more gentle animals. It was an unforgettable experience, fostering a sense of connection and understanding about the animals' needs and habits.
Moreover, the staff at Batam Zoo exudes a warm and friendly demeanor, always willing to answer questions and share insights about the animals. Their enthusiasm greatly enhances the overall experience and makes for a welcoming atmosphere. Shoutout to Obi, thank you for taking the lovely photos for our families.
In conclusion, Batam Zoo is a gem on Batam Island that offers a clean, fun, and educational environment for families. Whether you’re an avid animal lover or just looking for a fun day out with the kids, this zoo makes for a fantastic outing. I highly recommend paying a visit—it’s a place where both young and old can learn, explore, and appreciate the beauty of wildlife in a safe and enjoyable setting. Please maintain the cleanliness of the zoo and in pretty sure I’ll recommend to my other friends and...
Read moreone of the worst 'zoo' i've ever visited in my life. the space is way too small to be called a zoo. most animals are not well groomed, they look so stressed and unwell. they all look so overheated due to hot weather (except for 3 cats that have AC in their 'room'). there is no mist fan for rest of them, not enough water to let them cool down their body temperature. each species also do not have enough space. if the space is only for reptiles that might be enough. space for more than 5 dogs is less than 2x2 metres, and dogs look overheated and sad. cats need space, but here the cats are cramped, 3 cats within 1x1x1 metres crate. dogs, cats, monkey, rabbits, capybara, and more... cant you guys see that they look so stressed? the birds area are also very small... there are big birds that needs to fly high & in wider area, but your birds are too much in one space, and you also chain most of them to their post... the food & drink compartments for them also look very very dirty & they are definitely not being cleaned/change regularly. the food & drink are also very limited & really poor quality, even moss begin to grow in their water etc. please just donate the animals to conservation so that the animals have better living quality. zoo is not supposed to be prison for animals. good zoo could help bridging human & animal understanding, giving education for us, makes us become aware of other species and begin to care for them. i know money must be the problem, thats why as long as the animals are well kept, people who truly likes animals wont mind paying several times more bcs it will pain them more when they saw zoo that is not taking good care of their animals. which is why i suggest to let conservation taking good...
