Nestled in Benculuk Village, Banyuwangi, De Djawatan Forest is a hidden gem that feels like stepping into an enchanted world. This forest was once managed by the Dutch colonial government as part of a teak wood transportation system under Perhutani (the state forestry company). The iconic trembesi trees (rain trees), believed to be planted decades ago during the colonial era, now form majestic natural arches with their wide canopies and thick moss-covered branches, giving the area its fairytale-like charm.
Entrance tickets are very affordable, costing around IDR 10,000 per person.
