Indonesia is a land of natural wonders, with majestic volcanoes and stunning landscapes. One of the most famous of these is the Mount Bromo, located in East Java. The sunrise view from Penanjakan viewpoint is an experience that is worth waking up early for.
We started our journey at 3am from our hotel in a 4x4 vehicle to reach the viewpoint by 4.30am. We were advised to plan well in advance, as the route to the viewpoint is usually crowded with traffic jams all the way to the top. We encountered many two-wheeler riders on our way, who were ferrying people to the viewpoint.
After a long journey, we finally reached the viewpoint, and the view was simply breathtaking. It was an early morning, but the view of the surrounding mountains and the misty sky was worth it. The entire place was crowded with people who had come to witness the magical sunrise view.
As we looked around, we saw the first light of dawn slowly illuminating the sky. The sky started changing color, from deep purple to hues of orange and yellow. The sun finally rose, casting its rays on the rugged terrain of Mount Bromo, creating a beautiful interplay of light and shadows.
The view from the viewpoint was surreal, with the clouds floating below us, and the sun casting its warm glow on the rocky terrain. We could see the vast expanse of the Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park from the viewpoint, with its green valleys and volcanic peaks. It was truly a mesmerizing sight.
The Penanjakan viewpoint is known for its stunning views, and it was evident from the number of people who had come to witness it. We were lucky enough to get a good spot from where we could see the sunrise in all its glory.
In conclusion, the sunrise view from Penanjakan viewpoint is an experience that is hard to forget. The early morning journey, the crowds, and the traffic are all worth it when you witness the stunning beauty of the sunrise over Mount Bromo. It is a must-visit destination for anyone who loves nature and is looking for a unique...
Read moreExcellent feeling to watch a live volcano mountains. One must experience the sunrise and the views of the Bromo and other mountains. It will be a detox for the people struggling due to the stressful jobs and running the rat races. The view and the places are so serene. Thanks to the tourism department for the good roads till we enter the actual savanna. The jeep off-roading experience is also good. I have paid about 995000 Indonesia currency for this trip, which includes a 300000 rs foreigner entry fee, pickup, drop car from surabaya, and jeep travel to reach Bromo. I don't feel it is as expensive as we mostly spend this amount for a weekend meal. They picked me up at 10 pm and reached a village after a 4 hour drive. There, they shifted us to a Jeep for the Bromo visit. We reached Mount bromo Sunrise Point by 4am. If you leave by 11.30pm or 12.00 hrs, also ok as you will reach the sunrise point by 5.30am. Ensure that you carry a good quality full sleeve jacket, head gear, and gloves to protect yourself from the chilling winds. You can get a jacket and a blanket there. They charged us 20k for a jacket and 10k for the blanket. You can bargain also. After sunrise, photos, etc, you need to board the jeep again to reach Mount bromo, a live volcano. You need to walk about 2 km one side on the black sand (it may be the volcanic lava sand, I am not sure). Then, you need to take about 100 steep steps to reach the volcano mouth. The experience is amazing. My colleague took a horse ride, and she bargained for 150k...
