Museum Listrik dan Energi Baru or Electric and New Energy Museum is located inside Taman Mini Indonesia Indah or Beautiful Indonesia Miniature Park complex. The museum building covering 6,500 m2, which was erected on a 2-hectare land was inaugurated by President Soeharto on April 20, 1995. The Electricity and New Energy Museum building is made to resemble an atomic structure, with the Electric Pavilion as a proton surrounded by three other buildings as electrons, namely the New Energy Pavilion, the Fossil Energy Platform, and the conventional Energy Platform. This museum presents a history of the development of electricity and energy technology, the application of energy in Indonesia from time to time, and the spirit of innovation for future generations. In total there are 619 display units displayed in the Museum of Electricity and New Energy. In the Smart Energy Room there are interactive visual aids so that visitors can better understand the symptoms that come from energy and electricity. There is a Diorama of Extra High Voltage Air Channels, Simulation of Electricity Consumption in Households where visitors can read the number of watts used, Conversion of Electricity into Heat, Plasma Ball which shows the human body also contains electrical energy, Game Magnetism, Fast Fighting Game, Magic Harp where visitors can play the harp with a string of infrared rays, as well as an Interactive Computer Quiz and Game about energy and electricity. Outside the Electricity and New Energy Museum building there is a Multipurpose Solar Stove which is also used as a satellite dish that can receive around 150 television channels, the New Energy House that converts solar and wind energy into electricity, and Solar Cars.
