PLEASE DON'T USE THE HORSES TO GET TO BROMO CRATER, they are badly treated and suffer from this activity. We saw some guys hit their horse, they are doing many trips per day carrying tourists way too heavy for them, they all have a rope who hurts their mouth and have to wait in a uncomfortable position... If you want to see Bromo use your legs and nothing else!! We were shocked to see so many tourists, young and healthy, using this poor horses.... It's a shame that the national park authorities are not doing anything to forbid this business or, at least, to make sure that the horses involved are well treated. I understand that people need to make money but this should never excuse this kind of bad...

I had a 150cc scooter with 2 people on it and we were completely fine driving through the crazy roads and sand roads, you do have to be extra careful on these roads but any experienced scooter driver will be FINE
The sunrise at King Kong hill is amazing and there’s even secret spots you can find away from the tourist location that the tours bring everyone
