I spent a delightful hour slowly strolling the grounds, soaking in the peacefulness. The meticulously manicured gardens are truly stunning. While the palace itself offers limited historical exhibits (mainly photos), the atmosphere is captivating. However, it's important to manage expectations. This isn't a museum with in-depth historical explanations. It's more about appreciating the beauty and tranquility of the place. Unfortunately, my driver's historical anecdotes were inaccurate, so I recommend doing your own research beforehand if you're interested in the palace's rich past. Overall, the Royal Water Palace is a beautiful spot for a peaceful stroll. Just be prepared for a more contemplative experience than a history lesson.

Compared to Tirta Gangga, it’s more peaceful and spacious, making it a great place to take in the scenery and snap amazing photos 📸. The elevated viewpoints offer breathtaking views of the palace, mountains, and even the ocean 🌊. Walking around the large area can be tiring, but the tranquil atmosphere makes it worth it. One downside is the entrance fee, which costs 100K IDR (around PHP 370), making it pricier than other attractions 💰. However, if you want to chill, take a breath, and simply enjoy the beautiful view, this place is perfect for a relaxing visit!

Nice place for a walk. It was raining when we were there, bit anyway we had a relatively nice time (considering the fact that we were totally drenched) I'm not sure it's a pleasant place to be in a sunny weather, cause the place has close to none shadows (but there are some places with roofs actually) But the buildings are beautiful, gardens are well-kept, and the place overall is clean and tidy. Toilet facilities were totally fine, when we were there 🌝 I can recommend visiting this place, ideally in a cloudy weather, but when it's not raining, but even if the weather is not perfect the place is still worth a visit! There are not a lot of pleasant places where you can walk around, but yeah the ticket is 100k (still worth it in my opinion)

El Palacio de Agua de Ujung fue construido por el último rey de Karangasem I Gusti Bagus Jelantik en 1909, como un desarrollo de la Piscina Dirah que había sido construida por el rey anterior en 1901 para exorcismos. Los arquitectos fueron los holandeses van Den Hentz, los chinos Loto Ang y los undagi (arquitectos balineses). La construcción se completó en 1921. En 1937, Taman Ujung Karangasem fue inaugurado con una estela de mármol inscrita con el texto en dos alfabetos: latín y escritura balinesa; y en dos idiomas: malayo y balinés. Más tarde, entre sus invitados se encontraban el rey de Siam (Tailandia), el gobernador general de los Países Bajos y los sultanes de Surakarta (Solo) y Yogyakarta. Fue destruido casi por completo por la erupción del monte Agung en 1963 y el terremoto de 1975. Después de años de abandono, el lugar sufrió renovaciones entre 1998 y 2001 y ahora es una atracción turística popular. Su nombre significa "Jardín al final" o "Jardín en el borde". Construido sobre 12 hectáreas (30 acres), el palacio tiene tres grandes piscinas. En la piscina central se encuentra el edificio principal llamado Gili Bale ("pabellón de la isla"), conectado al borde de la piscina por un puente; atípico de los bales balineses, este edificio tiene paredes y una distintiva fachada blanca colonial holandesa. Visiting the Royal Palace on the Water was a truly wonderful experience! 🌸 The place is absolutely stunning and definitely worth visiting—especially if you love beautiful scenery and want amazing photos in a nice dress. It’s a perfect spot for a professional photoshoot or a romantic walk. The architecture, reflections in the water, and peaceful atmosphere make it feel almost magical.
