Explosive combination of thrill and scenic beauty !!!
TL;DR; Level 2 rapids. Safe for 10 + years., perfect for family. Very scenic, multiple waterfalls. Proper experience of a rich, lush green rain forest.
Do not expect super wild rapids

We had got a deal of 125$ from one of the online websites, for the three of us including my 10yr old daughter. We reserved the dates before leaving for Bali from India. This also included the Kintamani tour !!!
While researching for white water rafting in Bali there can be a some confusion on which rafting tour to go for. There is also an option of Ayung river rafting. But after doing some reading , we came to know that Telaga Waja was the best in terms on thrill and adventure and also the longest one. Since we had done rafting in in India in Coorg about 12 yrs ago we really wanted to do a good one .
Make sure you wear shorts , comfortable swimwear. There is a changing room and toilets in the office.
Everyone is provided with life jackets. Knowing swimming is not mandatory.Good footwear like sport sandals is a must as now and then you need to got off the raft and walk while crossing a few points in the river.
Buy a waterproof mobile cover if you dont want to miss out on snaps....which you definitely dont want.
I bought a cover at the Rafting office for 50000 IDR(Rs 250 INR). It was definitely worth it.
About the experience
The most wonderful experience and highlight of the trip in Bali.
Amazingly beautiful rain forests surround you , river is mostly flowing through a ravine and you get to see a number of waterfalls on the way which double the fun !!
You get to stop by a waterfall and take pics.
2.5 hours get over in no time. Both me and and wife felt that waters could have been a bit more wild to increase the adrenaline levels. But then we always want more :)..
Oh did i forget to mention that you ride through a water fall and also get to plunge down another waterfall !!!! These are the high points of the rafting experience.
A must do activity for anyone looking for a mix of adventure and scenic beauty.
Definitely the best activity to carry...
Read moreSuper cool organized with the company, they waited for us and we started our journey around 11! We took a cash and a phone with us in our bag, I'll tell you later why.
Before this trip, we also went down another river. This river is much steeper, we hardly even rowed, all the time we flew and enjoyed the views.
While you rafting, you meet waterfalls, working people, kids. Very atmospheric, but at the same time you are like in the jungle 🌿🌴
The whole trip took about 3-4 hours and we had stops to rest. And here the money came in handy, although you can pay off at the end of the trip. We happily ate Pop Mie and ate a chocolate bar. 🍫
Throughout the trip, we used our phone to take photos. The tour does not include a photo, so it is better to take your phone and prepare for a possible meeting with the water. There is only one scary moment in this whole journey, when you literally fly off a cliff, but we were properly seated in advance and told what to do.
On the end of rafting you will have lunch time, include in price.
Many thanks to the organizers that there is such an opportunity to retire with nature for...
Read moreWhere should i start ? Even for Indonesian standards the driver who picked us up was a nightmare. Full power or full brake was his way to drive the car.... The river had almost no water in it and most of the rafting part was closed due to an eruption previously. Our raft got stuck every 10-15m and the guide (who was the only upside in this trip) basically walked behind the raft to push it through that small creek which was left there. I had been rafting before and that was nothing like it here. If there is not enough water just don’t sell the tickets to the people. We felt like someone sold us a rollercoaster ride and we ended up in a bumper car ride on a fair. To put a cherry on the cake one of my friends broke his finger during that ride (when we had been stuck for the maybe the 20st time) and nobody mentioned anything about the insurance they promoted before the ride. I guess if anyone is interested in doing it ask if there is enough water, because they won’t care to make money pulling you through a...
