Yanto Cottages 2 — Attraction in Lumajang

We stayed there for one night to view the Tumpak Sewu Waterfalls. The rating is only for the home stay, the waterfalls are awesome!

The positive: The home stay is right at the entrance of the waterfalls. Very good location. It was also quite modern.

The areas for improvement: The sink in the bathroom was leaking. We didn't get warm water, even though the water went through a boiler. In the evening, we had to wait for more than 30 minutes to order our food, even though we were the only guests in the restaurant and they brought us the menu (so they knew we were waiting). After we almost entered the kitchen to place our order, we were finally able to. The food for dinner was very disappointing. The food we got for breakfast was "ok" though.

The exterior was magnificent. The cottages looked lovely from the outside, and the environment was exquisite.

As for the room, it was quite basic with double beds and no toiletries provided. The hot shower was unavailable and I had to use cold water instead, and the bathroom was smelly.

Additionally, you need to pre-order your breakfast the night before and they will serve you while it was still hot/warm. The food selection was limited to fried rice and fried noodles with either coffee or tea, but it tasted great.
