One of the best place that am visit in medan. If You come with a gtoup it is better for you to find a private taxi from medan/berastagi/parapat to here (cost am not so sure depend on ur supir and normally they will offer u with package of tour to several location). Like us, we take shutter bus from parapat to siantar and change an other shuttle bus to sipiso piso entrance (there will b some local people came to offer you tranportation from tuktuk jetty to berastagi like private car or if you take shuttle bus like us, just need to inform the drive to stop you at sipiso sipo. You may ask the local in the bus as well, they really helpfull as well). From there we take becak for 10 minute drive to waterfall. It take almost 30 minute walking down the stairs and take 1 hour to climb back ššš. Make sure you bring extra clothes and slippers coz you will wet if you want take closer look down the waterfall. You can bring raincoat if you dont want to get wet. They hv small stall near the bottom of the waterfall. Just be extra carefull when you under the waterfall, coz it the road is slippery and the wing pressure is so strong. You can swing down the there too, but for me it really dangerous. Overall, it great place to visit.

Great view of the magnificent waterfall and also the breathtaking view of the Lake Toba itself. Huge beautiful waterfall accessible up to the waterfall itself but whoever wishes to go there will have to prepare for an at least 250-meter hike. You can also view the entirety of the waterfall just from the top which also have places for food, beverages and souvenirs. Visitors will reach the top and have to walk down the stairs to reach the bottom where the waterfall is situated. There will be a few pitstops on the way selling drinks and food. The walking down is the easy part, but the hike up would take at least twice the time taken if you don't have the stamina of a hiker. Entrance fee for the waterfall is IDR4.000 per person (as of 13/01/2019). Great experience overall!

The most well known waterfall in North Sumatra. Located near to Toba Lake, the biggest lake in Indonesia. Entrance fee per person is about Rp 10.000,- (Foreigner might be different). Parking fee is about Rp 5.000,- Toilets are available at sompe points. We can go down to the bottom of the fall. This activity involving lots of walking, thousands of steps to pass. Walking down is easy, prepare some energy for the way back up, because the elevation of the fall is about 120 m. There are a few rest area points along the way. Some steps are very steep. At the bottom of the fall is wet and slippery. Bring your own water and some energy bars. Donāt forget to bring your trash back. However, the place is very worth to visit! The views are amazing! #beautifulindonesia.

A beautifull waterfall that pricesly facing to Lake Toba (a must visit waterfall ā¤) I went there in December 2021 by riding a motorcyle, and it cost nothing when we entering the waterfall area (only paid for parking fee). It takes a lot of efforts if your planning to get into the bottom of the waterfall, because you need to get through hundred of stairs with some levels of difficulties. There is a house in the middle of the way to the bottom of the waterfall that sells some foods and drinks, and they will allow you to take some rest at their house by purchasing anykind of food or drink they provided.

One of the spectacular waterfalls Iāve ever seen in my life. In order to reach the waterfall, we have to climb down more than 600 stairs (correct me if Iām wrong) just to reach the waterfall. Climbing down was easy but you have to be extra careful on the cracked and steep stairs. The problem was at that time we were not sure whether we had stamina to climb up back. 2 of my friends agreed that weāre going to do about 150 stairs only which is a quarter of the journey. You can still see the view of Sipisopiso Waterfall from above actually but we wanted to see a close up just a little bit. It was worth it.

Best waterfall. there is a steady stream of rivers with rocks. to reach the bottom of the waterfall, we have to descend the stairs. maybe 1000 stairs. You will not regret it because it will get a beautiful view. You can enjoy the river. The air is so fresh. It will take about 15 minutes to get the bottom of the waterfall. Beside that, we can enjoy the toba lake view, green forest and the view along the path to waterfall. There are souvenir shops, culinary. They give rassional price. But you can still bargain to be cheaper.
