Visit this place when it's sunny, it's guaranteed to blow your mind away with it's scenic views. Few tourist to zero tourist visit this place daily. READ ON if you want to ride in with your mop bike. I have some tips below:
The last part of the road has around 2km of tough terrain, and 3 spots with tougher roads to get across, they are quite easy if it's not raining. This is best accessed via motorcycle for the experienced riders. Car is able to access it as well. Generally keep extreme left or keep extreme right. You need to ride up fast when you are riding up the Rocky slopes, avoid rocks that are huge, and go for those path with rocks that looks smaller. Once your vehicle skids, release throttle and countersteer to maintain straight position. Slow down to zero throttle when it's going down slope and use two brakes at the same time. I find that the slope downhill is tougher to control than going up slope.
Now when you hit muddy terrain, try to find a path on Left or right with green field (or little trees), so you can ride across. If not, when you ride over go slow and use your left or right leg to balance the bike. Keep your throttle going during ur journey over the muddy paths. Countersteer if it's going to skid. It's better to have ur foot in the mud, than the whole body in the mud.
Note that at the final part, you have park your vehicle and walk up a slightly inclined slope of 40-60 metres. The walking path is clean and easily identifiable.
Well, I got through clean and out clean. Once you see Derek's Hill View, you're 300m away from Sarens Cliff Point. Returning journey is alot easier...
ย ย ย Read moreRoad info (July 2025): Sharing what I was hoping to find ๐ Photos attached. Idk why people are so dramatic about the road. Up until 1,3 away itโs a pretty normal old road with some holes - maybe just a few small sketchy points but still 100% doable, you donโt have to be โan experienced driverโ. From this point it starts to be a bit worse but still nothing tragic. Only at around 900m away it gets tough - still doable if you really want tho (and here you indeed should be experienced) - but you can just leave the bike here and take a nice walk. Option 2 is to push it a bit further and leave the bike around 600m away from the view point but tbh not worth the effort, especially that the walk is super nice.
Super beautiful spot & the best part is that itโs...
ย ย ย Read moreI was blown away once arrived at this place. Coming to this place for a backpacker is a must thing to do! The 180 degrees Blue Ocean view is very awesome. The best thing to do at this place is build a camp and sleep for a night then you can feel that nothing is able to beat this best sleep quality that nature can offer.
If you already get here, it's mean that you have passed "DEREK hill view" another tourist attraction at Banjar Saren, Nusa Penida. Don't forget also to visit the Natural Spring water of "Tembeling forest".
