Tembeling Beach is a hidden gem that rewards adventurous souls with breathtaking natural beauty. The allure of an infinite pool nestled amidst pristine landscapes and a beach adorned with beautiful pebbles makes it a must-visit destination.

The journey to Tembeling Beach, however, is not for the faint-hearted. The challenging road demands a certain level of expertise, making the scooter service a wise choice for a smoother and more enjoyable experience. The service not only ensures a safer passage but also adds an element of convenience for those looking to savor the destination without the hassle of navigating tricky terrain.

Upon reaching Tembeling Beach, the mesmerizing natural infinite pool steals the spotlight. Surrounded by lush greenery, it offers a unique and refreshing swimming experience. The beach, with its picturesque pebbles, adds to the charm, providing a serene backdrop for relaxation and exploration.

Travelers should be mindful of the rates offered for the scooter service and be prepared to bargain, as prices may initially be set on the higher side. Negotiating can result in a more reasonable and fair deal, enhancing the overall satisfaction of the visit.

In summary, Tembeling Beach is a paradise for nature enthusiasts, boasting an enchanting combination of an infinite pool and a pebble-strewn beach. While the journey may be challenging, opting for the scooter service and negotiating rates ensures a memorable and rewarding experience at this hidden...

We arrived at the beach and were stopped by a local guy who told my brother and boyfriend that they weren’t skilled enough to ride their scooters down the path. He insisted that we couldn’t go further with our scooters and should use their "taxi service" (for a very high price), claiming there were aggressive monkeys along the way that could be a problem. We decided to ignore him and walk. THERE WAS NOT A SINGLE MONKEY. NOT ONE.

The path wasn’t as bad as they made it out to be—some steep parts but overall quite manageable. It took us about 25 minutes to get down, so not bad at all. The place and the beach were absolutely beautiful, with swings for photos and two natural pools—definitely worth visiting! However, from where the scooters drop you off, there are a lot of stairs down to the actual beach.

On the way back up, my mom and I didn’t feel up to the hike, so we decided to take one of these scooter drivers. We paid 100,000 rupiah for two people, but the ride back was the scariest experience ever. My driver went incredibly fast, even when I asked him to slow down, with a cliff on one side and a rough road. My mom’s driver was even faster and overtook mine. To put it in perspective, the road is super narrow. However, the walk back up wasn’t as terrible as it seemed. The others in our group managed to walk up in about 30 minutes. So, if you can handle walking...

To get down to the beach (2 km) you can either walk or go there by scooter if you are an experienced driver. If you don't want to drive by yourself there are scooter drivers on the top who drive down and up for 100.000 per person. We decided to engage the drivers. At the entrance to the valley we had to pay an entrance fee of 10.000.  After having paid the entrance fee a self-appointed "boss" of the scooter drivers told us  that we are allowed only to stay for one hour down on the beach and if we wish to stay longer we would have to pay an extra fee for every additional hour. After a short discussion with the "boss" we insisted on staying as long as we like without paying any additional fees. After having spent 2 hours relaxing on the nice beach and enjoying the fresh water of the natural pools, we were personally picked up by a scooter driver sent by the "boss" who told us that we had to go back on top right now. Unfortunately it was the "boss" with whom I went on top. He was driving up the narrow and very bad road with incredible speed so I nearly couldn't clutch myself at the scooter. As I kindly asked him to drive more slowly, he replied that he would not drive more carefully as he hadn't eaten anything since the morning. So don't trust the scooter mafia, it's a rip-off, rather walk down and enjoy the nice scenery. But it's only for relaxing. You cannot...

Review WARNING! Do not follow fastest route on google maps, it’ll lead you to by an extremely rockey path and you’ll end up in the forest, no where near the usual path down to the beach! Best to check with a local on the best way to go if you’re riding a motorbike yourself. My wife and I were lucky to have met some locals who were probably taking a break from working the taxis and they brought us from the middle of no where to the proper roads and then down the correct path to the forest, ended up charging us 250k IDR, way more than the taxis waiting outside the entrance. It tends to get crowded around 11am onwards, so try to go earlier to avoid the crowd. It also tends to generally be less crowded because of how inaccessible it is. The beach is not for relaxing it, waves are strong and sand is rough and coarse. As with the other reviews, long walk from the entrance of the park to the stairs leading to the beach, unless you pay for a taxi ride. You can try riding yourself but do it with caution because the road is extremely undeveloped and rough. The stairs are the next challenge, going down isn’t an issue, it’s coming back up that might get you winded. Overall, would recommend the experience if you’re an adventurer and you’ll be rewarded with a beautiful view of the ocean and a very clear freshwater natural pool, although on the smaller side, the view is amazing.
