Al-Zawraa Park — Attraction in Baghdad

Al-Zawra Park or Al-Zawra Park is a public park located on the side of Al-Karkh in Baghdad, the Iraqi capital. حديقة في منطقة الكرخ ببغداد، أنشأت في مطلع السبعينيات من القرن الماضي على مساحة أصلية تقدر بـ 750 دونماً، ثم أقتطعت منها خلال الثمانينيات مساحة 300 دونم تقريباً لإنشاء ساحة الإحتفالات وبالإضافة إلى الحدائق والتصاميم الهندسية المختلفة للنافورات والأنهر الصناعية والكافتريات، تحوي حديقة متنزه الزوراء على مدينة للألعاب وحديقة للحيوان هي الأقدم في منطقة الشرق الأوسط، علماً أن حديقة الحيوان رغم إنها تشغل مساحة داخل متنزه الزوراء إلا انها في حقيقة الأمر أقدم من المتنزه، حيث كانت منطقة حدائق السكك التابعة للمحطة العالمية لسكك الحديد في “العلاوي” تحوي حديقة للحيوان أنشئت في أواخر الستينيات، وبعد إنشاء منتزه الزوراء أنتقلت حديقة الحيوان إليها.

حديقة الحيوان هذه هي الوحيدة تقريباً في العراق، إذا ما استثنينا حديقة صغيرة في محافظة السليمانية تحوي عدداً محدوداً من الطيور والحيوانات. وكانت حديقة حيوانات الزوراء تحوي، في أيام عزها، أكثر من 516 نوعاً من الطيور والحيوانات، ويحتفظ العديد من البغداديين بذكريات مميزة عن زياراتهم المتكررة لهذا المكان، وإفتقادهم لأنواع معينة من الحيوانات، لم يتم تعويضها بعد موتها بحيوانات جديدة، حيث إختفت في عقد التسعينيات العديد من الحيوانات (الأكثر جذباً للانظار!) مثل الفيل والزرافة والأسد الأفريقي، والحمار المخطط، أما زوج الكركدن الوحيد الذي شهدته حديقة الحيوان في الزوراء .. فلم يعمر سوى بضع سنوات في منتصف السبعينيات، وظل قفصه شاغراً فيما بعد.

تاريخ متنزه الزوراء

يقول ليث الكعبي مدير عام دائرة المتنزهات والتشجير في أمانة بغداد ، أن " متنزه الزوراء كان سابقاً عبارة عن معسكر للجيش وذلك في ستينيات القرن الماضي وبعدها تحول إلى متنزه عام لمدينة بغداد".

وأضاف الكعبي في حديث لـ(و1ن نيوز) أن " مساحة المتنزه  تقدر بـ500 دونم يوجد في داخله حديقة الحيوانات وهو مرفق آخر مهم وتقدر مساحة حديقة الحيوانات بـ 57 دونم ". وأوضح أنه "في ثمانينات القرن الماضي تم إنشاء بحيرات في داخل المتنزه تقدر مساحتها ب7 دونم".

وإستكمل حديثه بالقول "إن متنزه الزوراء هو مرفق سياحي مهم لأهالي بغداد خصوصاً والعراقيين بشكل عام ، كان المتنزه عبارة عن قسم في أمانة بغداد وتحول إلى مديرية عامة بإسم "المديرية العامة للمتنزهات والتشجير" لأهميته وليكون الإنطلاقة نحو زراعة بغداد بمختلف النباتات الجميلة.

حيوانات نادرة !

وأضاف الكعبي ، متنزه الزوراء فيه حديقة الحيوانات أنشأت في سبعينات القرن الماضي تضم الآن أكثر من 73 نوع من الحيوانات وأعدادها يزيد عن الف حيوان" وقال " حدثت لدينا حالات نادرة من الولادات في حديقة الحيوانات وهي من أندر الولادات في العالم حيث تقدر بـ500 حالة فقط حدثت في كل العالم .. مثل ولادة نمر أبيض وأسد أبيض.

لمن تعود ملكية الزوراء ؟

تعود ملكية متنزه الزوراء لوزارة المالية لكن امانة بغداد مخولة بعملية إدارته، حسبما يقول الكعبي ،في عام 2014 تحصلت أمانة بغداد على موافقة لتحويل ملكيته إلى الأمانة، وإستكمل ، "حالياً الدائرة القانونية ودائرة العلاقات والتصاميم في الأمانة تقومان بعملية التسجيل وتحويل الملكية" ويوضح "واجهتنا بعض العقبات لأن المتنزه يتكون من مجموعة قطع جزء منها في الأصل هو للأمانة وعملية توحيد القطع مسألة فنية وقتية لكن الموافقات حاصلة".

الكعبي أشار إلى أن "المتنزه من المتنزهات الوطنية والتي لايمكن التنازل عنه تحت أي مسمى كإستثمارأو بيع ، ولا يمكن للظروف المالية التي تمر بها الدولة أن تسمح لنا ببيع المتنزه أو جزء منه لرجال الأعمال أو القطاع الخاص أو الشركات" ويلفت "بدليل أننا إستطعنا تحصيل موافقة لتقليل كل فعاليات غير ضرورية تحت عناوين الإستثمار، عدا الفعاليات التي تعود بالنفع على المواطن كالمرافق الصحية ومايخدم المواطن ، للحفاظ على هذا الصرح الوطني.
