Lovely walk and you are able to let the dogs off the leash when inside trails. I began the walk at the “Campsite” location (it is not a campsite) with a huge lake. You have to cross the road after sometime and then 1 hour and a half walk (depends of your speed). Btw, you can park the car at the “Campsite”.

Fine walk with diverse scenery (forest, lakes and across town), and really nice in some areas. Not difficult, and easy to follow (well signposted) if starting at the carpark by the lake and going clockwise. Under 6 km loop in total that can be done in just over an hour at a normal pace.

Well signposted route which links up with the Killashandra end of the Killysheen forest Park. The route takes you through forest areas and close by some of the loughs. Quite steep in parts, mainly good compacted paths, some loose gravel and a section through Killashandra town that is...
