Lakeside Cottages — Hotel in Cavan-Belturbet Municipal District

Cottage was very outdated and could do with a deep clean. No Internet,,no first aid kit and no fire blanket etc. Fishing was a disappointment as access to lake was down a very steep pebble driveway and was advised by owner not to access by car. Even my 10 year old son could not make the walk. We thought fishing was going to be on our doorstep but had to drive elsewhere to fish. Very disappointed and would not recommend. Before booking people should be advised...

A perfect place for a break. Great location (1 minute from shops, pub etc, but nestled down by the lake, so you dont even hear passing traffic), owners friendly and helpful, place spotlessly clean, and well equipped ...all the right utensils, pots, pans, and outdoor BBQ. Boats avail for hire. Perfect for a group, or family. Great loop walk a stone's throw away. This is the view you have of lake, right outside...

We used this as a base for fishing and touring the local area. The cottage had everything we needed for our stay including a bait fridge outside. My FIL struggled with the bunk beds but I found mine OK. It would be a squeeze for 4 people and probably wouldn't suit couples with more...
