Absolutely beautiful beach. But. It's infested with jellyfish. Like 100s of em all over the sand and i tried to ignore them and go swimming and seen 4 or 5 around me in the water. Big dinner plate sized ones. We had 2 small kids that were determined to get wet and dirty so we went into the little river that goes across the beach. I was obviously watching the water like a hawk so theu didn't get stung and I seen a weever fish come up out of the sand and swim off so I dunno whats going on in the place but its very not suitable for kids. Lovely to look at and go for a walk with shoes on. Not recommended for small kids. So unfortunate becuase its absolutely stunning...

I have been to many beaches in France, Italy, Spain. I have never seen a beach as beautiful as this. I was there on a cold day in the end of October and yet it was still beautiful. Perfect for dog walking. The full length of the beach crosses two rivers one has a bridge, one doesn't. If you're willing to get your feet a bit wet, you've got a lovely long walk ahead of you. The far end even has some caves to explore. Even if you don't cross the last river, it's still a lovely long walk there and back with a coffee van in the car park. Recommend parking in the car park at the Port Salon end of the beach as it has lots of spaces and some...

While up in Dunfanaghy, my sister & I went for a drive to Port Salon Beach. It's the first time I've been to Port Salon Beach & I must admit the scenary, here is excellent. It was stormy, while we were up there, & there was no one else around. The views here, if I may say are spectacular & if you are over here in Ireland, it is well, worth a visit. Come & visit this spectacular area of County Donegal (Ireland)....

You can park either end of this magnificent beach. At the Portsalon village side there is a wonderful coffee van (love late) with the nicest girl. Then walk through the passageway onto this beautiful beach. Plenty of parking.

Beautiful beach if you are in the carpark and heading back to letterkenny from the left there is a vey step windy road up through the mountain not for the faint hearted. Lovely clean ,golden sand with a coffee cart outside
