Connemara Celtic Crystal — Attraction in County Galway

I happened upon this wonderful place in 2015 and have been hoping to go back again. I don’t quite remember how I found this place, I think I was driving by and saw a sign, anyway, I stumbled in and even though I hadn’t booked a tour or anything a very kind craftsman took me back into the workshop for my own private tour. It was amazing to see him create a beautiful piece out of something so plain. I ended up buying a vase for my mom and gingerly carried it all the way back to USA with me. She loves it. I love that Connemara Celtic Crystal retains the same history and craftsmanship of Irish crystal that I grew up admiring. Definitely worth...

This was a great location to visit for crystal goods and to see a demonstration of glass making and carving. The skill in the master-craftsman is unmatched -- it was a special experience to see the master Donal at his craft. He was very polite and answered all of our questions about glass crafting.

The customer service is top notch and they are more than helpful in you finding the right piece or pieces. Make sure you look around the entire shop... Great, great factory and store in the old style of making crystal. Products are of the highest quality, and the designs are unique to the family (and very traditionally Irish). Owner and staff were really friendly and engaging, and the crystal making demonstration was really great. I would absolutely positively recommend Celtic Crystal over Galway and (gah) Waterford any day. A joy to support this...
