You need to walk from the visitor centre. The path was rugged terrain and took less than 30 minutes to reach the fort. Magnificent view of wild Atlantic from here. Ich kann Dún Eoghanachta allen Leuten empfehlen, die einen Abstecher nach Inis Mór machen. Das Dún ist toll gelegen und man hat von dort aus einen fantastischen Ausblick. Und das Beste ist, dass man dort meist ganz allein ist, anders als im Dún Aonghasa. Der Weg dorthin erweist aber als etwas schwieriger. Ein Schild an der Straße zeigt wohin man abbiegen muss. Danach folgt eine Schotterpiste bei der man sein Fahrrad besser stehen lässt. Nach einigen Metern kommt eine Abzweigung nach Rechts, die mit einem roten Eimer markiert ist.
