Must visit place in Ireland and really a great place for everyone to spend your time with nature. Wooded area along with the bank of Clare rivers. The scenery is breathtaking, with wild dense forest combined with the calm rushing of the crystal clear waters. Have a small park and picnic area at the entrance to enjoy the sunny day. Have an excellent car parking facility at the place. This walk is perfect for families with young children or those looking for a short stroll through breathtaking forest scenery!!🥰 Crystal clear waters of Clare river flow through dense forest in a red sandstone gorge to create a truly beautiful setting. The numerous waterfalls which flow through the sandstone also help to make this loop walk incredibly picturesque. Located close to the border of Co Tipperary and Co Limerick. If you hire a taxi for your travel, its cost around 45 to 50€ to go to Clare Glen's from Limerick City Center. There are several narrow paths that lead down to the banks of the river, but they are steep and muddy with slippery rocks and tree roots. I would not have attempted it without boots, gaiters and trekking poles. It was worth the exertion to get up close to the cascades and watch the water surging over the cliffs into quiet plunge pools before tumbling on again to the next drop. It was possible to make out the ghost of a muddy path running along the bank.

It is great when it’s sunny, forest like feeling after entering the loop. Hiking shoes is a must as i slipped few times without them. I would recommend going clockwise. The trail was covered by branches on the left side of the loop while going in between and is muddy. There are some logs added which helps in the rain. The way back of the loop (right side) is nice, no obstacles as such, they even have seatings there and not muddy. Overall good experience with the loop. It’s short and good for a walk with small hike. The park is good for children, has swings and benches for family to eat . The other side of the loop, across the road, there’s small trail which is good for taking children. The place looks clean and well maintained.

Clare Glens is an absolute paradise for people that are nature lovers The moment you step onto the trails, you’re surrounded by lush forest, rushing waterfalls, and the kind of fresh air that instantly recharges your soul. Only thing is definitely bring runners you don’t care about or boots as it does get muddy Other than that I loved it and will be going back!
