Athlone Regional Sports Centre — Attraction in County Westmeath

An excellent sports facility and a great investment in health and wellbeing! Conveniently located in Cloghanboy, close to the motorway, with plenty of parking available. The indoor facilities are top-notch - a well-maintained swimming pool with sauna and jacuzzi, and a fully equipped gym offering everything from treadmills and dumbbells to specialist machines. They clearly care about keeping the equipment modern and in great condition.

The cleanliness is outstanding - changing rooms and toilets are always spotless. Outdoors, there’s a fantastic fitness park, picnic area, basketball half-court, 5-a-side soccer cages, hockey pitch, playground with a climbing net, and even a skatepark – all well-maintained and well-lit at night. Security is excellent too, with CCTV in operation.

I come to the centre frequently with my son for swimming lessons, I attend the gym and i bring our Services Users from the Irish Wheelchair Association. We like that you have Friendly helpful staff, with a wide range of gym equipment and classes to offer. Jodie has great knowledge regarding exercise programmes and Nutritional needs, he's very encouraging. Ethan is brilliant with people with disabilities, he's also very encouraging and understanding regarding their needs and abilities. Orla & the reception team are very welcoming when arriving to the centre. Nial is a great swim instructor, both my children liked him and found him to be a fun. This gym is one of the worst unhelpful place I've ever been to, they let children have memberships I met a 10 year old who had been using the weight lifting and when I had gone in there mind you I was older they refused to let me have any sort of membership, they don't bother checking I'd, passports nothing and they wouldn't even bother answering there phone it's always going to voicemail there trainers are always on there phones doing nothing which is annoying I once came in at 10 am for a walk in and the desk staff got mad at me and told me he would let it slip today, I respect you have rules but maybe follow them urselfs letting BABIES have memberships and not others who actually do tel the truth about how...
