The Chips That Changed My Life If heaven served food, I’m convinced the chips at this pub would be the main course. Let me tell you, these are not just chips—they’re an experience. From the moment they arrive, golden and glistening, you know you’re in for something extraordinary. Each chip is a work of art: perfectly crispy on the outside, fluffy like a cloud on the inside. The crunch? Oh, it’s a symphony. And the flavor—imagine the most delicate balance of seasoning, each grain of salt lovingly placed as though by a culinary angel. But it doesn’t stop there. Pair them with the pub’s rich tomato sauce or tangy malt vinegar, and you’ll think you’ve discovered the eighth wonder of the world. Even the smell, warm and inviting, will have you salivating before the first bite. Honestly, I could come here just for the chips. Forget the rest of the menu—though it’s great—the chips are the real star. These aren’t just good chips. They’re a life-altering event. If you’ve been searching for the best chips on the planet, look no further. You’ve found them.

Busy car park when there's a match on. Parking on the road outside is allowed. Nice bar for the Pre and Post Pint.

The food was good but pricey...i know it was carvery but a little more care should have gone into placement on place, sounds petty but it was all slopped on top of itself, meat , potatoes, veg, stuffing...did not look appetizing but tasted good...no seating inside , had to sit at bar....rugby was brilliant, it's class when you not have 1 but 2 nephews playing...playing field brilliant...but one needs to wrap up well on a cold day or it...

In recent times we have had a going away party and a daytime birthday lunch party and I can say without a doubt on both occasions we were treated top class. Friendly management and staff and great food and atmosphere. Tom and pascal are great hosts making sure .everything is going as it should. Would recommend this bar and restaurant to be a top...
