Shoreline Hotel and donabate beach it's gonna be beach was particularly clean this time it's hard to get to without a car which we can get to 33 bus from swords to portaran and work 2.8 kilometers to gonna be beach you can also get the train done a bait and walk which is approximately 2.6 kilometers are the hotel there is not much around there'll be no activities to do so bring what you need to keep yourself and entertained check the tide is the sea you can go out quite far so the shoreline Hotel oh that's been pretty much the same for years many in the bar has unchanged decor hasn't changed it's a bit drabs clinical no atmosphere the outside part is the best part there is an outdoor menu for you have to ask for it there's also a coffee van that says two sandwiches and some snacks in the summertime there is barbecues occasionally hotel itself as wonderful views of sunrises and is worth to stay a night great beach access the bar is definitely a let down the staff tend to be okay friendly and helpful I've had several different dishes and I'm 100% sure there is zero qualified chefs working there they just don't want to pay the chef or can't find one to work there food would be poor in my opinion don't let this put you off well worth a visit for a walk strong pint of beer or a cocktail public toilets have looked the same since I was a child unfortunately they are a disgrace now effort harmony has ever been put into them busy weekends parking can be very very difficult keep...
Read moreI rate this beach highly for one thing only, it's dog friendly! You get all sorts of dogs, and usually everyone respects every animal and the right to walk alone and not be disturbed. It's very very busy in the summer months as a family beach which is great but then people who only come down 2 times a year with their hand bag dog, get offended that these"other" people have dogs off the lead and think at anytime their pet is going to be attacked; aka come on down Mr dog warden who only comes down when"city" folk are around. I've been part of this community of local dog walkers for 4 years, I own a so called dangerous bred animal who walks freely. I've trained dogs for over 6 years in Ireland and more overseas. This is a great free public beach. A great overall dog friendly beach. Just remember if you bought it to the beach, it either goes home with you or in or near the rubbish...

A nice cup of coffee outside at the local hotel, sitting at tables looking out to sea. A great way to spend 4 or 5 hours. Highly recommended and will be doing it...
