Donabate to Portrane Cliff Walk is a scenic coastal trail that offers stunning views of the Irish Sea and surrounding countryside. The walk is approximately 4 miles long and takes around 2 hours to complete. It's a relatively easy walk with well-maintained paths, but there are some steep sections and rocky cliffs, so it's important to take caution and wear appropriate footwear.

Along the way, you'll see a variety of flora and fauna, including seabirds, wildflowers, and salt marshes. There are also several historic sites to explore, such as an ancient burial mound and a medieval church. The highlight of the walk is the breathtaking views from the cliffs, which offer panoramic vistas of the sea and distant hills.

Overall, the Donabate to Portrane Cliff Walk is a must-visit for anyone looking for a scenic and peaceful escape from the city. Whether you're a local or a tourist, this walk offers a unique and memorable experience that showcases the beauty of the Irish coast. Highly...

This is a gorgeous walk to do. Half hour each way between Donabate and Portrane. There is a rough path at the edge of the coast. This has been blocked by fencing and warnings as it might be hazardous. But there is a pathway inside the wall and this is safe and I think better. You still get the sound if the sea and you can see it over the wall as it is not a high wall. The path curves and so you don't feel as if you are walking a long way. There are not many inclines and so is good for a beginner. Both Portrane and the end at Donabate have public toilets at the end of the pathway. Mayne get a coffee from a coffee truck or the hotel either end as a reward for...

The day trip started off well. Parking was sufficient and I grabbed my camera and headed to the beach. People were in swimming and it was warm and sunny. I was on tje phone to my girlfriend in Spain telling her it was almost like being back home. Then in a matter of minutes a flash and a crack and the rain came down. We witnessed what insurers would describe as an Act Of God. The heavans opened and I was soaked. I might was well have been in the sea given how drenched I was. The only positive outcome was a lovely photo of a double rainbow. Looking forward to heading home to Spain and constant...
