Hi I'm a member of the walled gardens were I give my time on a monthly basis to help maintain the landscaping & plantations. I've been visiting Santry park daily for many years and I've made many friends with the public who like me, come here regularly to visit this wonderful place. what i like about this park is how the landscape workers leave areas of wild grass to grow which attracts wildlife. If you're the kind of person who doesn't like the busy & noisy footpaths you'll find the grass walks around the park are more peaceful and tranquil. I use organic waste to create Art. In the forest part there is a tee which fell over 10 years ago. The tree has a lovely arch which was covered up by thorny weeds over the years. So I decided this year 2023 to spend 20 minutes each time I visit to cut back the weeds using a stick. I'm also collecting logs, twigs & sticks to make a non muddy / natural footpath which leads to the tree ' Lovers Tree Arch ' ! The tree Arch will make a good shelter from the rains. My thoughts on parks in Dublin. THERE IS NOT ENOUGH TREES IN DUBLIN PARKS. I'd like to see more trees planted in all parks. If you look on google maps at all of the parks you'll notice most of our parks are largely sterile grass fields and football pitches. (Not everyone plays football and some kids prefer exploring nature. We must plant more trees to attract more diverse nature and to help reduce our C02 emissions. Wildlife must come first before sterilized grass fields. Come visit the walled gardens. Hours: Saturday 11 a.m.–1 p.m. Sunday 11 a.m.–1 p.m. Monday Closed Tuesday Closed Wednesday 11 a.m.–6 p.m. Thursday 2–6 p.m. Friday 2–6 p.m. Hours may change. Depending : Bank holidays / Seasons & weather conditions. Please Support Our nature. To attract more wildlife, We must plant more various tree species. You can too. Go raibh maith agat as do...

Santry Park is a beautiful green oasis located near the Northwood society, offering a serene escape for residents and visitors alike. This expansive park is known for its lush greenery, fresh air, and vibrant birdlife, making it a perfect spot to unwind and connect with nature. Whether you want to enjoy a leisurely stroll along its well-maintained pathways or indulge in a friendly game of cricket, Santry Park has something for everyone.

One of its unique features is a dedicated garden for paid members, providing an opportunity to grow your own crops and experience the joys of gardening in a community setting. This space fosters a sense of community while promoting sustainable living practices.

The park is easily accessible to all, making it an ideal destination for families, fitness enthusiasts, and nature lovers. Its tranquil ambiance and open spaces provide a refreshing break from the hustle and bustle of urban life. Whether you're looking to relax, stay active, or explore your green thumb, Santry Park is a delightful place to...

Nice and Comfortable place to have a walk or your daily cardio exercises. And its a perfect place to spend some time with your children and family. Good green landscapes, trees and the small lake gives a nice ambience. There are lots of good machines for workout too. Nice parking, easily accessible.

But don't plan to come when it's late or light is gone. This place will be in under control of some anti-social groups who is completely addicted to drugs and ready to attack anyone. So it's not a safe place in late times. Even in the evenings, some guys use to smoke weed and drink alcohol sitting in the benches even at the time of small children playing around those places.

Whoever comes as a tourist, student or for work, please keep in mind that don't be so confident to walk around this park in late evenings. Since there is no proper security services provided, nobody could help you if...

Nice park greath for kids bike dogs running walking or just seating. it has a car park and lot of ways in and out of it. It has a vegetable walled garden whit lot's of interesting plant's it all so has a great pound for Ducks water heens & swans please don't give them bread it's bad for people and even worse for the Ducks you can give salt free sweet corn or salt free pea's they will love you for it. Bad side is the river that's running around the park is very polluted water.there are new toilets to by the car park you have to ask for the key from the park keepers to get I to them.over all great local park for all well worth a walk around

I work less ten minutes from here and I’m ashamed to say today was the first day I went in. Wow. A little green sanctuary hidden in the suburbs. There’s loads of exercise equipment scattered throughout the park. There’s loads of bench’s and a massive children’s playground. I really liked the small lake . Swans living there. There is a bike path and loads of room for joggers and walkers. I saw five public toilets, all are wheelchair accessible. I spoke to a park ranger Pat . A really nice guy. He said he was working there twelve years. You can tell he’s into it. Over all it was a great visit and I’ll be back soon to cycle it.
