Seriously, I think I'm a coffee snob. How did that happen. I mean, I wasxraised on tea, and coffee was a luxury made with powdered coffee, and a batista was a junior barrister. Roches Stores was the only gig in town apart from Bewleys, but that was way out of my parents' reach and only for special occasions. The only connoisseurs ( That word eluded me for a while there not that you would have noticed but spelling connoisseur really stumped me I was so bad pretext didn't under stand me either but Google did ....eventually now eluded just got me too) any way back to the point of connoisseur....they only connoisseur was the guy who got a bad pint of Guinnesss you know the time when slops were considered a legitimate mixer for Guinness as a top up and an ensuing debate on a good pint would be a topic for discussion the following day. Bad pints are not a huge issue any more it would seem quality control and all that. I'm now that connoisseur with coffee but only a pretend connoisseur. Its really hard to get a bad cup of Joe, but you can get them. Starbucks was never my favourite, but it's is now, especially Blond Roast. I've gotten fond of Starbucks, and the staff are always professional and above all friendly despite working really hard. Yes, sometimes Mickey Ds is cheaper, but it's hit and miss, and only a Euro cheaper, but consistency is not always a constant. Starbucks is as I never ever had to tetutrn a coffee to them. Anyway, Starbucks ambience is perfect for a coffee with a friend. I've no picture as I cannot succumb to taking pictures of food or coffee while out it is vulgar to quote Frazer Crane. So here's a picture of my dog Teddy with...

I came to this Starbucks branch (Omni) late Saturday afternoon (4pm approx) after college to spend some time studying with a coffee. I specifically chose this branch as it’s closing time is 8pm according to Google and I wanted to get a good long study session in.
At 6:10pm a member of staff came over to me and to two women on the other end of the couch who were clearly catching up with each other and told us that they were closing the store. I told the employee that I thought they were closing at 8pm and she responded “oh yeah well there’s no manager here so we’re closing early” ummm…what???? The staff decide to just close the shop early because they don’t want to work till closing time?? I also got the impression that the two women had chosen this branch as it was not supposed to close till 8pm from their faces when told to leave.
If there’s anybody else planning on coming to this Starbucks because it opens late, try get there two hours before...
Read moreAvoid, avoid, avoid!!! I have been trying to give this branch a chance ever since it opened and I think only twice I have gotten the order that I wanted. I never had this issue in any other Starbucks branches around Dublin and I frequently visited one of your branches in Blanchardstown on a daily basis (up to 3 times a day in fact!!!) I have even told them of the Omni branch and they are appalled and even apologised for a store that is some distance away! Anytime I go in looking for my order there always seems to be a problem, either "it's not made up" or there is some other reason I cannot get what I want. Multiple times I have walked away empty and even at times out of pocket. I will never recommend this branch to anyone and would rather send them to Costa, the bagel bar or even marks and Spencer across the other side!!!...
